Hello. I have an BofA American Express card that is delinquent; I have read many threads about BofA CCs and American Express CCs; but haven't found any info on a BofA American Express CC. Has anyone dealt with this CC and what was the outcome? Since it is from BofA, will it be treated like a BofA CC? Thanks.

Sadly, Visa is now accepted in more places than cash. Millions of credit cards are being used daily for purchases. Visa, MasterCard, & AMEX, are in just about every household worldwide and the trend is not going to die anytime soon. There are people though who do not have the means to obtain a regular credit card, be it a lack of credit in general or too much bad credit combating the application process.

I have been seriously thinking of trying to do the settlements with my credit card companies. I have about 25k total. I have missed a couple of payments here and there but for the most part always stay current so my credit isnt good but isnt horrible(yet) But just making minimum payments and never knocking down any debt is just getting to be too much. So my question is.. if i do settlements of course my credit will be jacked up for a long time.

My last debt I was looking to settle was a 12K debt with BOA. Hung on to the end--my sixth missed payment was this March and I was told by BOA that this was the last month they could work with me. So last night they came down to about the 35% mark, which I am lucky enough to be able to pay over three payments. Even gave me 30 days to make the first of three payments. So, I wanted to share this and say that thanks to the folks on this board, their advice, suggestions and support, I was able to negotiate away $97,000 of debt.

I had several payday loans and ended up closing my checking account because I couldnt pay them anylonger. I reopened another account at another bank and one of the companies have deducted funds from my new checking account. Is this legal?

As part of a settlement, has anyone ever tried, or been able to negotiate for their points? I had points that if turned into gift cards, would be worth a few thousand dollars.

hello all, hope all is well. i recieved a phone call from someone at pdl centers. i hung up on her. at first i thought it was one of those places that is supposed to help get existing loans paid off. not the case. then i get an email from this woman named natalie from there to tell me i was approved for a 300.00 loan. i need this like a hole in my head! so i replied back to her " i never applied for any loan. so how was i approved for one? she writes back that their socalled sister company has gone out of business and was refered to them how i was such a wonderful customer.

I am going to very have to be careful in staggering my settlements out a bit. If you accept a hardship payment for 2 or 3 mos. and then quit paying again will they start you back over in the countdown or sort of pick up where they left off?
