Hello, I settled with Aegis Recievables Management on my Amex debt, and now Amex has sold the balance to another CC. I have a settlement letter, and I overnighted the payment to Aegis, however they did not sign for the payment until after the date that this offer specified. Can anyone help?

Has anyone worked with Doug Johnson who runs the relieveyourdebt.com website, and also newdebtrules.com/memberhome? I contact him regarding a Chase Visa credit card debt which I have run up to almost $20k. He wants to refer me to a company that offers a service similar to Debt Settlement, only he calls it Debt Compromise. I guess the only real difference is that all of the fees are charged at the end, and are based on a percentage of the savings. So, I only pay if I save. Anyone work with Doug Johnson or heard of Debt Compromise?

I found them on the Net and am considering using a settlement company vs DIY. Their add says they charge a monthly fee of $39 and 10% of the enrolled debt; which sounds better than others I have read about. I did a search on this company on this forum, but nothing came up.
