I got a very harassing phone call from Advanta. Whats up with this statement Advanta: "ARE YOU TELLING ME ON TAPE THAT YOU REFUSE TO PAY ADVANTA?? IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING?" Me: "I am saying that I do not conduct conversations over the phone, and that I do not know who you are, or if what you are saying is valid. " Everything he said was nonsense. like Advanta "I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND I DONT APPRECIATE IT!

I posted this on the other forum too but wondering if this might be a better spot... So, we had two vehicles financed through a bank in Arizona back in '04. Long story short...after refusing to accept two (full) payments they repo'ed both of them. The vehicles were both sold in auction back in late '04. We've received letters and calls since to get us to pay the remaining balance. However, I haven't. I've always asked them how they could refuse the payment before repo'ing and then want us to pay NOW.

All, Another question about Alpine Credit, Arvada, CO. I bought a truck in Sept 2004, with first payment in Oct 2004. If Alpine Credit claims a judgement from 2004, that they refuse to prove, stating they don't have to!! Wouldn't that have shown up at the time I purchased truck? Trying to find out if alleged judgement is real or not.

I have an RV loan that was CO???d in Sept 2009. I have made multiple attempts to let the creditor know my attentions of getting current with the loan. I have made monthly and even double payments starting in Sept to date with the intent of becoming current and retaining the RV.

Since then, they have gone to "icollect" what are the next steps? i have closed my bank accounts and tried to get a hold of them to pay the principle on my terms not theirs but to no avail.

This collection agency was sent a cease and desist letter on Jan 7, 2010 (their collection letter was dated 12/8/09 & gave us 30 days to respond). That same day (1/7) this compmany filed with the circut court (and not in our county either, but the neighboring one). This says Chase Bank vs myself but on the second page it says "This letter is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. This communication is from a debt collector." So to me, they have broken a few FDCP laws.
