MCM will not send me verification that my old credit card balance is actually mine. They say I owe them $290. I refuse to pay until I know this is my responsibility. What should I do?

I have a couple of Wells Fargo accounts that are through my business (with personal guarantee). I have been unable to pay them for several months because I simply do not have enough money to make the required minimum payments. I have called and discussed this with them on numerous occassions trying to get them to lower their interest rates or put me on a hardship program like I have gotten with several of my other creditors. They are telling me there is nothing they can do and that I have to pay the full amount due or it will go to charge off any day now.

I am fighting the scumbags at RJM and I believe the collection they are listing on my account is in violation of federal law. Can the community please look at it and give me some advice?

Hello, I just found out that due to a mistake with my bank, my private student loan just went into default. Has anyone in MA had a defaulted student loan? I have no idea what is going to happen other than they are going to ask for the full amount which I can't possibly pay. Has anyone had their wages garnished in MA for student loan default?

I own a small business, and took out credit cards in my own name (which was the same as the business name initially, then the business name was changed) to fund some necessary business expenses and to help keep us going while I built the business. My husband is not aware of the credit card debt, which climbed to almost $24K (close to $8K each on three different cards). He hates credit card debt, but said the business was "my deal" and I needed to be responsible for it, so I decided to take it out. Huge mistake.

My wife attended a cosmetology school back when she was 17. The "school" office made the arrangements for her to get a student loan in the amount of approximately $2200.00. First off, my wife was only 17 at the time that she signed the agreement (underage to enter a legal contract). Second, the check was delivered to the "school" and she was asked to sign the check and received $300.00 from the student loan. The rest was applied to tuitions. Third, the husband and wife that owned and ran the "school" were arrested for some form of fraud and sent to federal prison shortly thereafter.

Can someone please give me some info. Im working with a debt solutions company now, i just started. I wanted to know if anyone know the payday loan laws for md. Any info regarding this matter would be quite helpful. Im so stressed and cant get any sleep cause im in so much debt with these lenders.
