Cashnetusa payment arrangement problem

16 years 5 months ago
On 12/14, I emailed cashnetusa concerning a 500. loan that was due in full (627.40) on 12/18 (I had exhausted all 4 extensions). I received an email from support@cashnetusa offering payment arrangements of 313.70 on 12/18 and 313.70 on 12/31. I replied--TWICE--to the email stating, as requested, that the terms were acceptable. Predictably, today cashnetusa attempted to debit the full loan amount. My credit union charged me a 30. ACH return fee.

CITI WHAT is the BEST settlement anyone got?

Just curious, How much did you owe? How late were you when you settled? Did they follow thru with a letter before and after payment in full? So far I dont see anything better than 35% on this board.

Creditors still calling after discharge

16 years 5 months ago
I dont know what to do. My chapter 7 bankruptcy was discharged on 12/03/09. i got a call today from some attorneys office that represents paydayloanyes.com. They were included on my bankruptcy and i thought that they were discharged as well. While the attorney or whoever he was wasnt mean or anything, he asked for my attorneys info and told me that that debt wasnt dischargable. He said it was returned check fees because when i filed, i closed my bank account and they couldnt draft anything else...is this something to worry about?

Very unique situation, ch. 7, 13, 11?

16 years 5 months ago
Ideas anyone? I have 180k secured personal LOC on my home, and 150k HELOC on the same home. The home is now worth around 170 - 180k. We have no other debt. The debt was incurred for business deals (and being a new LLC, I had no access to funding form my LLC and I foolishly used personal credit). Which option would be best, 7, 13 or 11? Can I file as an individual, or would it have to be joint? We are in Ohio. We really don't want to lose the home!

How do you have money for debt settlements?

16 years 5 months ago
How are most people coming up with money for debt settlements? I can't pay my cc payments because the money has to go to my essential bills then I don't have any money left after that. So for you that are doing settlements, do you have savings or borrowing or how? Just want to get some ideas because I would really like to try to do settlement. Also, do the creditors typically want the payment in one lump sum? Thanks!

My Settlement Story so far...

16 years 5 months ago
Hi everyone, I've posted a couple times on here but just wanted to see if anyone had any further words of wisdom about my situation and also give everyone an update on my success with debt settlement so far: I started out with a little over $18000 in CC debt, all personal accounts, with 8 different CCs, 6 different CC companies. I started working on settling my own debts in mid-November- I've since settled all 3 of my Chase accounts (3rd card was settled as of last night). % were pretty good at 25%, 38% and 27% all with Chase and still with OC.

PDL Laws

I am curious, I received a PDL from an online lender based in Delaware, but I am from Missouri. Would they have to be licensed in Missouri? If so, because I signed a contract, am I held to pay there high APR?

HELP! I received a Civil Action from these evil people Dec. 4th for a Capital One debt. I was unemployed for 14 months and now am working but at much less than I was making before. I would be willing to make payments but with the 8% interest they want I would never pay them off. I have never been sued before so am scared to death, not to mention I am behind on everything, my spouse is now out of work as well and we cannot afford an attorney. Will these peole be able to take any property or worse freeze my bank accounts? I have read about T.

Can I still settle my credit card debt to the actual bank (Chase, Amex, etc) even though I've settled it w/ a collection comp. already?
