This has to do with a garnishment. I received the the notice in july 2006 I than responded less than 30 days later. I received the garnishment judgment at my work place monday nearly 40 months later. In that garnishment paper the original amount of principle had increased by 805.92 the amount of interest originally request. they also had interest of 805.92, attorney fees, court cost and post judgment of $1083.30 added to it. In addition I had contested in my response in Aug 2006 the original amount I owed. Not much difference but about $400.00.

I have 6 CC 1 over 32k the rest less then 4k.. If I stop paying the 32k and use that money to pay off the others one at a time and then try to settle the big one?

alright im 22 years old. i had a credit card and racked up a $4,000 debt. creditors started calling me a year and a half ago and recently i got "tricked" into settling with redline. after one payment of 150, i researched the company and change my account so they couldnt withdraw from my account. i now have a stable job and able to make small payments or be able to start saving so i can pay in full. im still new to this so i dont even know where to start. who should i call or what should i do? its been 2 years since i settled/closed my account. any help would be appreciate. thank you

Just wanted to provide some more motivation for all of you out there. I just agreed to a settlement last night with Discover at 40% of my original balance (which is apparently very strong). I was 195 days past due. Discover held steady offering 60% of the inflated balance for the past 4 months, and I kept holding to my number. They finally caved yesterday after I was bounced around to 4 different reps. I am very excited to say the least. I have now settled successfully at roughly 35% with Chase, AmEx, and Advanta, and 40% with Discover. 4 down, 1 to go (BofA).

I live in Los Angeles and in 2006 I took out a loan with AmeriLoan for about $350; it???s been so long I can???t remember the extract amount; however, I thinks about after the third loan, I had to close my account due to never ending problems with Bank of America.

I am getting calls from 866-645-1661, I looked it up and it belongs to CPD. I did tell them never to call my job again. I found a e-mail of cpdcustomerservice @ creditprotectiondepot.com I dont know which PDL they are representing so I am not sure if I should e-mail them or not. I want to tell them to stop calling my work, and that I filed complaints, but not one who... They said they are collecting 1100+ for a Capitol One credict card debt that I owe. I sent 2 debt validation letter through registered mail one after another in 30 days(2nd one 30 day after the first one with no response) requesting they validate the debt, I have not received any paperwork or information. Hello. I have 4 internet payday loans that we are about to default on. (We've only made one "extension" for each). We closed our bank account and decided to go with Oak View Law Group (from the ad on this site) after careful consideration of doing it ourselves. We decided that we could pay the monthly amt to them and we'd feel better having someone else fighting for us and were willing to lose those fees. (I know most of you disagree with that, but it's best for us).

I need to find a form to look at so I can make a motion to set aside the judgment of a garnishment
