Ok so I get a phone call from A Christian Alexander and the first thing he says it "has someone spoke to you about check fraud?" the I answer no. He then starts to tell me that he is getting ready to file paper work against me for check fraud. I am so taken back and shook up that I tell him I need to call him back in 20 mins. He gives me his number and when I call him back he tells me I owe almost 1900 dollars for a online payday loan that was in Dec '06. I need to settle and pay 856 of it by the end of December or pay the full buy the end of Jan. I am still in a shock as I am talking to him.

Can federal benefits be garnished?

I received a phone call from a man saying he is a lawyer that i am going to be arrested for a payday loan that i have not paid. I dont believe that this is even my loan, i think that my ex husband took it out without my permission. The man scared me so much about being arrested that I paid 200 using a prepaid debit card. They said I had to send a notarized letter stating i would pay so much every other week, etc. They refused to tell me the original loan lender and amount, now stating that the amount due is 897.44. I filed a complaint with the federal trade commison.

attempting personal loan, to get out of fin traps. applied to company, they quote, do not apply elsewhere. is that right, or am i waiting on one app and wasting valuable time?

is there anyway at all for someone to try and have the govenment pay for my student loan. i owe less then 13k... with all my bills i feel like i am going backwards in life

ineed help i have between 5 cards 21000 in credit card debt. one card is for a golf cart and will be paid off in 34 months at 159.00 a month at a fixed rate... and the other 4 are around 16k worth of high intrest rate credit cards..... what can i do to help paying these off. well debt consolidation ruin my credit? i have yet to bounce on payments but i don't want to do it. when i first got my house we took out a home equity loan so that won't be an option with the housing market.. i want to stay far away from bankruptcy.... i just want to pay these off and have no problems

A.K.A International Payment Services? They attempted to debit my account twice, then sent me an email stating that they did not receive their payment, THEN called me at work. I told them to refer to my email and hung up. Then they emailed stating that they 'found' my paperwork and wanted me to pay the full amount of the principal--of which I already sent 2/3--plus another $100. I reiterated my concern about whether they were legal or not and told them what I was willing to pay.

can debt collectors call anonymous legally?

I have a 25,200 credit card debt and would like to settle. I spoke to a settlement officer today past 90 days and 120 days on November 21. I was offered 35% payable 90 days (4 payments of $2,200 (november-february). I tried to negotite for 25%, even 30% but she will not agree, saying that i had a balance transfer of 8k 6 months ago. My father in law is helping us with the debt but can only offer 25%, so we have to come up with the remaining amount of roughly $2,500. I told the account manager that i will call next week and will try to discuss with my husband and father in law.
