PDL Help in Utah

16 years 6 months ago
I'm so glad I found this site because I'm on the brink of a nervous breakdown. I've been unable to work for over a year due to illness and we've been flailing. Fortunately, my husband got a new job and is getting a severance check at the end of the month. If I can just hold down the fort until then... My husband and I have so many payday loans out it's both scary and embarrassing. I applied for all of the loans online but I'm pretty sure most of them are legal. I just want to check though. I have yet to default on any of them but judgment day is coming and I need help.

how to ensure a chk doesnot bounce

16 years 6 months ago
A customer of mine didnot pay for the goods especially made for him. Upon receiving small claims court summons, he wants to settle by a post dated check as he contests he is broke as of now. Along with the post dated check what other document should I get from him - a letter of surity or a promissory note? And what would be my recourse if the check bounces. I also am skeptical what happens if he files for bankruptcy in the meantime

Paydaymax & Discountadvances the same company?

16 years 6 months ago
Hello, I was wondering if Paydaymax.com & Discountadvances.com is the same company? Both websites are almost identical other than the layout. Has anyone had loans with BOTH Paydaymax & Discountadvances at the same time? Please let me know! Thanks! Mel

Will a deletion from Transunion also cover Experian?

I have been working with Transunion and a few things have been deleted off of my credit report. Will these things also be taken off my report with Experian or do we deal with each agency separately?? Thanks.

Bankruptcy about to come off - better interest rates possible?

16 years 6 months ago
Do creditors give a better rate to those whose bankruptcy is about to come off credit report as opposed to one who more recently filed bankruptcy? My bankruptcy will be off in a year. I have 3 small credit cards in good standing - never late. Negative marks are 10 small med/dr. bills that my ex was supposed to help pay but did not, and a car repo from 2003. I plan to pay off (w/pay for delete letters) the Dr. bills one by one to help improve my score.

Debt collectors, Debt forgiveness & the IRS

16 years 6 months ago
could someone please clear this up for me. i have an old, past SOL debt that has been passed from one bottom feeder to the next...i have been able to keep the others at bay. now i am confused about debt forgiveness and if this would be reported to the irs, so far so good. but please explain as much as possible. how do you know if the collector is going to contact the irs and call this (ggrrr) debt forgiveness if they stop collecting? or decide to call this debt forgiveness. i have not filed bankruptcy, or done debt consolidation, etc.
