Has ever used services from A New Horrizon

I'm currently in the process of filing bankruptcy and VIP has assigned my loan to this collection agency. I told the rep this and she stated that they could still take me to court for writing a bad check. Should I be worried about this? They called again today and told me that if they don't hear back from me that they will start proceedings. Should I worry or let my lawyer handle this.

I had written last week after receiving a "summons" in my front door and saying that I planned to meet with a BK attorney as soon as possible. Part of the discussion was over whether or not the phone calls from the CA representing Discover that started right after delivery of the summons were, in fact, attempts to see if I'd been scared enough to settle. Most posters seemed to think that was just wishful thinking on my part. This week, I got a follow up from the CA in the mail asking just that.

I need some advice on a collection company stating they will delete my account from my credit reports after I pay in full. They are refusing to send it to me in writing. I will not send them anything until I get a proper letter signed by them (Ad Astra Collections). I need case law for any case that has been handled by refusing to supply a consumer written notice of action to be taken for a payment. Any other REAL advice is helpful. Could this be considered fraud?

I posted a question regarding Payday Loan of America prior to this. I really appreciate all the help I have been receiving. I actually received a refund and one of my payday loans marked it paid in full. Getting back to Payday loan of America Does anyone have any info on this company. I live in New Jersey and they are located in Delaware. They say they are licensed in Delaware on the loan. Because payday loans are illegal in New Jersey do I have to abide by the laws of Delaware? Also I have paid them $300 in fees towards a $400 loan.

mycashnow will not allow me to log into my account. I logged on this morning just fine. I called them after a e-mail I received and told them basically they had given me an illegal loan and I only owe them 19.00, she told me to hold she would get her manager, then she told me to leave message on this voicemail she sent me to and they would get back with me after reviewing my complaint.

I just received this today in my email: Oh and to let you know, I've already paid $35 on this and only owe them $55 since they are an internet based pdl and they are illegal in the state of Iowa. Now my question is this. What type of letter/email can I send back to them that states the Iowa laws and that I've already paid x amount of money and only owe them x amount? Can someone help me and show me the right form. I've tried looking over in the Do It Yourself section but couldn't find it and I can swear that I've seen it before just can't remember if it was a post or in that section.

I was sent to collections for a urgent care visit the insuance company processed incorrectly...I disputed and it was re-processed correctly. Urgent care sent the 147.00 to collections I have since sent in all new EOB's and a copy of an emial as to when urgent care was paid and that I the patient is only responsible for the co-pay which i have paid. The collection company since the beginning of August has acknowleded the fax of all inusrance information and agress I do not owe this money.

EME originally took loan out from but now I am getting threatening phone calls from different numbers and I see on here that EME is in the West Indies - are they legal to operate in my state in New York? I am questioning whether to send them what I owe them because they are in the West Indies - anyone dealt with these people? Thanks - a stupid dumb blonde for sure

I recently filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy. Prior to filing I had a lawsuit pending against me. After filing I received a request for dismissal without prejudice from the attorney for the credit card company that was suing me. Can someone tell me what this means? Please help.
