I know this sounds kind of shady but if you get a letter and you are being sued, can you close your bank acct before you go to court (assuming you know you'll lose) so that they can't seize the funds? I understand garnishment and am fine with that but i wanted to know if this was possible.

Mann and braken first contacted me back in 01/28/2008 I sent cert request for Validation which the signed for feb 4th they never responded over the last year and half I have received one letter from them 06/18/2008 just a typical dunning letter .. That is it ... I live in Texas and they filed the suit in may and it was just delivered today ... please advise .. Thanks it has been filed in the Southlake JP court ... I live in Keller ..

Hello everyone: Here are the companies with whom I currently have loans, as well as the amounts. I live in Ohio. Integrity Advance: $500.00 original loan, $750.00 paid to date. Internet loan, set up as an ACH debit CashNetUSA: $850.00 original loan, nothing paid to date. This is a new loan, and was the one that made me realize the insanity has to stop. Internet loan, set up as an ACH debit. Cashland: $500.00 original loan, over $1000.00 paid to date.

just found out that paydayone is legal in ohio have a loan with them they have a certificate to perform loans thru april 2010

In short, I had a judgement against me in Missouri, collector scared me into sending a payment which resulted in them getting my checking acct info. They put a freeze on the acct and took money, which I then closed. I now live in another state w/ another account...can they cross into another state freeze my current account and/or garnish my checks(I was unemployed when the first freeze happened)? Would they have to sue me all over again in my current state to try and garnish wages? THANKS!

I received a call, from a representative, claiming to be from J.P. Enterprises. She said I owed on an outstanding loan. However...she said the loan was "processed" in 2006.Huh??? I asked her, if the defaulted loan is THAT old, then why are they contacted me know? According to her, the CA has been sending letters out since 2007. Gee....that's funny,..because I don't even know who these people are (at least I THINK I have the right name for the CA). Any advice?
