My family has been affected by the LLS, and I would like to pretend I am writing a news report which you tell the readers about the crime and the outcome in the trail, including the sentence. One of the questions is: Is there the degree to which the victim may be blamed for the crime in this case? Does anyone have input whether you do or do not think that it should make a difference in the sentence you give the offenders. Thank you so much.

Hi Guys, I am hoping to get a few brief answers here. I appreciate any help. I took out a private loan for school which was first owed to a local bank then went to Brazos which then had the loan serviced by MRS and now finally ERS out of Illinois. Does this mean this loan is in Collections? Can Brazos still own the loan and pay these companies to collect on it. If it is in Collections does that mean ERS had to buy my loan from MRS or Brazos? The woman from ERS said i can send any settlement amount discussions/figures to her and she will run it by Brazos.

SPAM! ITs getting ridiculous!

My wife and I are currently struggling due to high interest rates and fees. Ultimately we started going down hill when my wife decided to have braces put on two kids last year which costs us about $500 per month that we really didn't have. I'm not saying we're perfect but most of our cards have raised the rates to 29% based on a late payment on one card.

I am in the process of trying to clean up the mess that is my credit. Have sent out what seems to be millions of validation letters... Here is the question though- I have a credit card account that did not show on my credit report-last payment was made in March 2002. Tonight I got a call from a company and the lady was truly nice :P She told me that her company just recently acquired the account and the balance was $7500. Her company was not licenced to charge intrest and she wanted to make a settlement offer of $2500. I DID not agree to pay anything, nor would I give her any promise to pay.

Companies I have loans with, all are internet. 1) Ace, 300 (90 interest) 2) Nationwide Cash, 400 (120 interest) 3) Star Cash, 300 (90 interest) 4) United cash, 400 (120 interest) 5) One Click, 300 (90 interest) I've just been paying the interest for 1-2 payperiods on each of them, with eveyrthing rolling over.

I have been receiving calls from a guy stating that I owe the University of Akron tuition of $9,000 because of failing to drop my classes properly and not withdrawing from the college correctly. I was 17 years old at the time (Fall of 2001) and thought all I had to do was clean out my portion of the dorm, advise all of my roommates that I wasn't coming back after Halloween, and just leave the campus.

I have asked you all about Debt Settlement and Debt Management. Today while talking with Chase they mentioned their Hardship Program. I was informed that I would volunteer to close my account and a repayment over 60 months would be worked out. They told me tht this gets reported to the Credit Bureau as "consumer closed" vice "creditor closed" which happens under DS or DM. So I ask, is this not the best option?
