I had a CapOne card for $500 while i was a student. I lost my job and stopped paying on it. Now a company named Lyons Doughty and Veldhuis P.C. from NJ has filed a lawsuit against me. They want $1100 on $500 card. I lost job in October of last year and graduated in dec. and don't have a job since then. I initially got a court date which this company which is a collection company rescheduled for Sept. 1st. Now i receive a letter in mail which is MOTION OF SUMMARY JUDGEMENT, which i have to answer by 20th of this month to avoid default judgement in their favor.

Please help. If your car has been repossessed, can you then file for Bankruptcy, even if its a few weeks later? Can you include the amount the dealership loses in the auction, and all of the other fees associated with the repo? Or does the car have to be repossessed after you file for bankruptcy? I am in California. Thank you!

Check n Go Texas (Store Front) Said They can File Criminal Charges using my bad checks, that total over 1000. 1200 i think. I thought they could not file criminal charges against you? I'm working out a payment plan, but after reading in this forum, i got the impression that they could not send my checks to the AG as Bad Checks and persue criminal charges... I am i COnfused?

I have some inquires i would like to remove from my equifax report as well as transunion. O know I'm able to dispute them online. Will that cause me a big problem if i do that? I just spoke with someone who said they could remove them at $40.00 a pop but that's a lot of money. What is the best way to go hear? I sent letters out a month ago and only got a response from one of them that they are removing.

My mother in law called me in April and told me that someone had called my sister in law's boyfriend and was demanding information on where I was and how he could contact me. He told me that it was urgent because I was being investigated for fraud. Okay. I call, take a settlement, and pay the debt. Then I am cleaning my office out and I find a collection agency that owned it before this one, and the balance was 473.00 I paid a 30% settlement to them for 617.95. I have paid off my entire account with them, can I do anything.

I just signed a contract yesterday, and then discovered this forum last night. Now I'm thinking it's not a good deal, but I don't know how to get out of it. They don't have any money yet...don't know if they have any kind of policy on cancellations...of course, I could just move the money out of the account they pull from....suggestions would be great.

I received a letter today stating that may loan from cashdirect express has been turned over to American Alliance Mgt, Inc. for collections. It says I can only remit the balance in full to pay off of 778.00. It was a 400.00 loan. It says I have 30 days to dispute the loan. According to my checking statements I paid them at least 212.00 in debits. How must I proceed with this matter? Can I suggest payments to pay it off?

Is there any updated information on paydaysevices.com. Recieved a letter from them address from Las vegas but they say thier home state is Utah, I found nothing on the consumer datatbase containing the various state and license database. did not find them on the Nevada state database either. Are these people licensed anywhere? I got a call from Lewis shaprio out of New york...turns out they are a collection agency. they wanted me to pay 900.00 this includes fees for the 650.00 loan.

One of my credit cards is with a collection agency, for approximately $555.00. What kind of offer should I make them if I want to get this paid off? Already went through the validation.
