last night i tried to pay at Target pharmacy with a check from my new checking account. (opened so that I could close my old one to get out from under the pdl sinkhole.) I have had this account for almost one month, and there were funds available for this purchase. When the employee scanned the check through the register it was denied. I didnt have my debit card with me, so i dont know if that would have gone through or not, although i was able to run home, get the card, went to the atm, got the cash, and returned to the store.

My wife and I have fallen into the PDL trap and are desperately trying to get out. We reside in Michigan and have what i believe to be 12 outstanding PDLs. When I first signed as a cosigner on a loan for another person the contrract stated that the cosigner could be released from the loan after two consecutive years of payment of the loan without missing any payments? In looking at the latest loan information I couldn't see any reference to this standard. When does Sallie Mae normally release the cosigner from a Sallie Mae student loan? Thanks.

If you enroll in a hardship program does that prevent you from using your credit card in the future. This question regards BOFA specifically. I only have one credit card 18k balance. I can make the payments but would rather have a lower interest rate so I can get it paid off sooner. I would still like to have the card for emergencies. Thanks!

I moved to VA from PA in Nov. '98. I worked in retail for a few weeks in VA, but I don't think I filed VA state taxes in '99. I received a letter recently from a debt collection agency saying they were attempting to collect $1300 back taxes from VA. Not sure what to do...I know clock on old debts starts ticking again when you make contact.

I am in tears over this. I had a forclosure 3 yrs ago and 2 of the credit agencies show it as just closed in 08 so I had disputed this with them and had called the morgage co who had told me they will have this resolved 14th ... well today I called and they still do not have it resolved and I had received in the mail from experian that they verified the information with the "original creditor" !!!

Will a secured card charge interest on a rental car deposit (hold)? I plan to use my secured card to rent cars on business trips but will pay the bill with my debit card. I'm curious how long the secured card will take to release the deposit and will/can they charge interest on the deposit until they release it?

I live in Mississippi and I got a few payday loans on the internet midland financial , paydayloan yes, hushawk group and fox enterprises and purpose cash advance and I owe them now . I recived a call from VCS and they stated I had to pay 2000 by the end of the month but they would set a pay arrangement for me but the first payment had to be 1500 I stated I did'nt have it so they stated that if I did'nt give them nothing they would get me for fraud. Is this true
