after child support how much can another garnishment take?

I'm over 100k in CC debt and a need advice on whether to use a debt settlement company or do it on my own. I'm not late on any of my cards yet and once I do go late I know I'm capable of handling all the collection calls once they start. I just hate the fact that these settlement companies require 15% for the first half of your desired term payments. From reading the posts in this forum it looks like many of you are successful in dealing with the creditors on your own. Should I go on my own or find a good settlement firm? Please advise.

Boa will not do a 20% settlement any more beacuse or some new law change it that true or not . What are some of your settlement percents and how late were you and how much did you owe????? Thanks

I recvd a call yesterday from a gentlemen with an indian accent from a local 770 number. He identified himself as Officer (somthing but I cldnt understand him with his thick accent) he then asked for my attorney's information, I said " Why? What are the charges? " He said "Shall I read you this affadavit!? ... If I read you this afadavit you CANNOT intrupt me!

IDK is that how it works ? If it is that would be great. Won't the trustee want the equity from the house or doesn't that matter.

I'm wondering if anyone knows the SOL on a loan in Texas - this is not a credit card debt. It is a loan with aloan company -Citibank (not the bank but I guess it is their loan company)

where is the company located at?

I had two credit cards,and defaulted four years ago. The state SOL is four years. My credit cards are now SOL, but a debt buyer company bought the debts. Now that the SOL ended, will the debt buyer send me a 1099c for 2009's tax return? I posted this queston in another place..incorrect place. sorry.
