I have very bad credit and would like to see if bankruptcy is a good option for me but need advice first.... How much does it cost? Do they also do payday loans (store front) and internet, and also how do they work out on your vehicles, will this affect in the long run if you want to get another vehicle?

I received a call this morning from a guy who appeared to be from India, saying the police would be at my home to arrest me from defaulting on internet payday loans...I am in Philadelphia PA, and while I'm pretty sure the police part is not valid, I do want to get caught up on these debts or at least try to make a reasonable payment plan....does anyone have any advice on this? Also how can I find out which of the lenders I owe is legal to lend in PA?

So, I had been saving settlement cash for about 6 months. A total of $15k for 5 cc's. I just found out that there was a major error in my taxes for last year totaling about $13k. My attorney said to pay the IRS first. Absolutely first... before anything else. He said that you don't want to mess with them. So, now I can't pay the cc settlements. They have already called offering settlements. But now I have nothing to offer. Now what?

I recieved a letter trying to collect 12,000 for an auto loan. I was laid off from my job and struggled to pay, but finally had to let the car go back. The loan was a high interest. I paid 450 a month for around 4 years. Then I get a call wanting the 12,000. Apparenlty even after the repo, they still want the full price. They offered to make an arrangement if I could give them smth like 3000, they would call it even. If I had had the money I would have taken the deal, but I didnt. That was about 2 years ago. Then a few weeks ago i get that letter from Simms.

I have 6 payday loans and 1 'installment' loan that I'm not sure if it qualifies. I am aware that PDLs are not legal in PA but that if the PDL has a license in any state in US that I am bound by the laws of that state. Just verifying - am I correct on this? Now my loans are with: Payday One - which I am aware is legal - $1000 Rocky Boy Technologies (was Impact) - $300 Loan Point - $600 Biggest Cash.com - $300 SparkLoans - $400 Cash Central - $300 - they recently told me they can no longer lend in PA - does anyone know why? I believe all are illegal except Payday One.

Do u think Kingston will be leave my account has been stolen or closed do to excess over drafts? I emailed them to call me back but who knows when they will call. :(

Im trying to get a small personal loan of about 2000 that can be paid back in about two months, but i have very, very bad credit and no one to co sign. and i need it right away, i have done the pay day loans, not happening again. any suggestions. thanks

I have a couple of PDL's and didn't know when I got them that it was illegal for them to lend to me. I also told all of these companies that my husband was in the military at the time of getting the loan and they told me that they just need to know if I was the military member or would say in their own words that it didn't matter and that wasn't a question in the application. So now I find out that it is illegal for them to lend to me even as a dependent and that it was illegal for me to get these kind of loans.
