Once again, SO appreciate this forum and hope to contribute to it someday. 1. I owe Payroll Loans (about 5,000), and Credit Cards (three cards for about 13, 000) 2.Unfort. the card I owe the most on is 20,000 but that has my wife's name on it too and i used it --- trying not to involve her so that may be off the table for bankruptcy. I'd LOVE to include it if it was just going to affect me, but don't see how---we arranged, for now, for a payment plan on that card....350.00 per month at no interest. Since, in total I owe so much, I can't pay anything now--hardly any income etc.

I have had an account with a local credit union for almost 7 years. I have never had a problem with them. I overdrew it once but went and made a deposit right away and everything was ok. I had another checking account with WF and I am not sure whether or not they put me on chex bc they didn't close my account when I requested and overdrew it by allowing the second mortgage go through (even though I had canceled the automatic withdrawal before). Anyways, I needed to order new checks from my credit union and was wondering if you think if Harland will run a chexsystem report or not?

Anyone got a number for this outfit?

Today, National Credit Adjusters out of Hutchinson, KS called me at work at least 5-6 times in a 10 minute period. In these harassing and abusive telephone calls, employee, "Nick Dooler", threatened to call my employer and get me fired, threatened to sue me and get me arrested. He also said my employer must be scum to hire a person like me. He then told me to "bend over and do my job" and give him what he wants. He yelled at me, cursed at me and would not stop calling me despite my requests, disturbing me all morning at work.

It was suggested to me to open a smart cash account from Fidelity because I was trying to decide whether or not I should close my bank account due to pdl's and nsf fees. I was wondering if any one has used them, if they were happy with the account etc... I did not close my checking account because the bank agreed to put a freeze on the account until I could pay off the account and regain access to this checking account. I need a checking account that will not drain me of all my money in the mean time due to my company requiring direct deposit. Does anyone have this experience or one like it?

I am currently working with care one a debt management program to take care of my payments to my credit cards. My payments this month will be my last one for one of my credit cards, my balance will be completely paid off. My question is should i take the amount that was being applied to that card and apply it to a card with a higher balance which would be a card i have with about 4,300 or the one that i have with the next lowest balance which would be about 850?

First of all I am in the state of Virginia. I have a company called CPS calling me and my friends. It is for a payday loan I let default. Can I be arrested for this? My check was returned and I was making payments to the cash advance place, then they all of a sudden sent it to these people. I understand they are low as low can get, but I wanted to ask what exactly they can do to me? thanks!

I'm sorry to start a second thread, but my other one got no responses and is getting buried already. I had a few questions in that one, but my primary concern is about 1800899cash. Does anyone have experience with them? They seem to be licensed in Delaware but not in California (where I live). They claim to be different from a payday loan and call themselves installment loan. I am trying to determine if they are legal in CA or not. My sense is not. I have grossly overpaid them over a series of loans and they are after me for $750. I appreciate any help people can provide.

My spouse has a collection ageny on his tail. Sent settlement letter and got no response. This med debt in sol in ohio. collection agency just started calling despite no contact via phone request in letter. today, they called and said his account was selected for legal services and paperwork regarding garnishment was sent to his self employment bussiness. can they garnish w/out court summons? what should i do? of course, since it was selected for "legal" action, they will not settle on this account. can medical debt be settled like other debt?
