Help. My husband and I were going through some rough financial times and got suckered int to those nifty online payday loans and now we are stuck in Payday loan HELL.

I received a settlement offer last year for an old cell phone bill. I am now ready to pay it off. I called the collection agency, and told them to send me a bill. I know not to accept verbal agreements. She said she would send the settlement offer to my email. Would that stand up in court?

Hey everyone, I just got a call from a recovery firm for National Pay Day Loan. They stated that they are going to start litigations or wage garnishment from my check. I am in NC and know Paydayloans are illegal. Can you give me any advice on what to do? Thank you,

They are related correct? I spoke with Ameriloan after I sent them the no contact letter and they continued to harass me and my reference contacts. They informed me that it is not my legal right to request no contact and I can only request no contact with my references or place of work. Am I crazy or does FDCPA give me the right to request this? They have also stated that because I requested that they cease ACH activity, they will attempt to debit the entire amount from my checking account this Friday. Can they do that?

How many kinds of debts do you help with. I went through some major problems at one time. Right now I am getting my mortgage in order, but I am trying to get my car loan back in order, cards, and some payday loans? Do I understand that you organize the debt into one payment a month?

I recently payed Aprils payment which was ok'd by Nissan. I recieved a default letter demanding april/may payment or they would accelerate the loan. I currently owe for the month of May. Can Nissan still demand May payment or accelerate the loan if I do not pay by the 30th of May? I am starting to think it depends on who you talk to at Nissan on what can/will happen! Please help here! Thank You!

I just posted a thread about my sister and her payday loans in the other boards.. But i wanted to post here because I feel so guilty because I was/am so embarrased about the problems I had with payday loans (and money in general) that I never mentioned to her how bad they are. I guess I assumed that these loans are not as widespread as I thought? Anyway i told her i would ask here.. i told her to post but she's paranoid (i do not know why people are scared to come here?) I just feel like I let everyone down..

Hello, The collection agency received my debt validation letter at the beginning of May. I received an automated "call" from them last week which was picked up on my voicemail (I have a copy of the message as an attachment in email.) I am trying to decide whether to wait for the 30 days to expire to send them a letter stating I have not received validation and they have tried to collect prior to validation, or to immediately send them a letter regarding the collection call before receiving validation.
