is there a law or something that requires an original creditor to charge of a debt after such a period of nonpayment? Anybody know? Thanks!

i had a collection account went through the dv contesting ect and the ca agreed with me after i sent an intent to sue..anyways ca agreed to delete their account from my report..how long should this take for it to go away? they are claiming its the credit bureas fault and not theirs..and yes i got it all in writing..

Thought I would share the experience I just had with Barclay's Bank's collection department: I have a Barclay's credit card with a balance of 10K. I stopped paying as of March 1st, so I am 60 days past due. I recently settled 60K of debt with BOA for 15k and paid off two of my other debts so this is my last hurdle and perhaps I am feeling a bit bold. Anyway, my strategy was to do what I did with BOA start out with low ball offers and try to get them to 25 cents on the dollar.

I live in AZ & spoke with an "investigator" today, he threated me, saying that if I don't pay back $1025 by the end of the month (29th) that they will suspend my driver's license and I will be charged with a felony. He said that because I took out the loan from AZ, but it originated in CO, it crossed state lines, so it's a felony. I explained to the man that I have lost my job due to disability & am waiting for Social Security Disability.

I got a call today from a Yolanda Evans saying that she is from the Department of Track Recovery Service. She told me that if I did not pay her $280.00 by today that she was going to have a processor come to my place of employment. I live in the state of NC where payday loans are illegal and Webpayday was sent a letter stating that I would only pay the orginial amount owe but they never responded. Ms. Evans number is 1-866-331-3120. I just need to know the name of the company so I can send a letter asap.

Does anyone know of any good settlement companies in KY? Also what is the statue of limitations for debt in KY?
