Reporting

I know things should only stay on your report for 7 years. My question is do you go by the date opened or the date reported? also is there a time frame a creditor has to report it on your credit report? like this. I have one on my report that says date opened 10/15/2003 and date reported 04/08/2009

Penncro Associates

Hey All, Just received a call from these "people" and they left a voicemail on my cell phone. They were looking for someone that I never heard of. The whole voicemail consisted of repeating "by remaining on the line you acknowledge that your are Theresa ???. If this is not Theresa ??? please hang up now. This is an attempt to collect a debt." Or at least words to that effect. I am not planning on answering because it is still my cell. Would it be worth blocking the Caller ID on my voip and calling them, or should I just ignore them until they go away.

Cap.One loses cc suit due to Cardmember Agreement... SOL

Odd as it sounds...the fine print on the Cardmember Agreement cost Cap. One a lawsuit. I found this article on New York Consumer Litigation, under the tag of Debt Collection Lawsuits . "The question, however, is how long the creditor has to sue you. Most people assume it’s based on the statute of limitations in your home state.

Overdrawn and Plan to File Bankruptcy - PDL's

Need advise please. I am overdrawn on my bank account at 1000.00 and growing. Have about 6 PDL's that are hitting my account and increasing the overdrafts with NSF's. I haven't talked to my bank yet. I plan to file Chapt. 13 in a couple weeks and will be including the bank overdraft and all debt including the PDL's. I have heard that some banks won't even close your account if you have an overdrafted amount is that true? How do I stop the horrific overdrafting in the next two weeks if the bank won't close my account and what if they refuse to free it or put it into Deposit only status?

I had an original debt with National City, they had an attorney file suit as I was not making any payment. It went to court & judgement was entered and now my check is being garnished. I called National City yesterday & they told me they no longer have anything to do with the acct. & give me a contact number at NES (Not Nintendo Entertainment Systems) - Anyways, what I am trying to do now is settle with NES for 1/2 of what the court ordered.

another PDL victim

Hello everyone. Another too late PDL victim. I am currently in Texas. I have 2 PDL left and have paid off three. I am not sure if these were legal CSO. They are all cash front. Cash Stop paid off $1200, after I threatened them. Cash store-paid off $ 360.00. Advance america- threatening collections for $541.00. Texas Ready Cash-$900.00. Were these legal CSO? Especially Cash Stop and Texas Ready Cash. Also what can I do about AA? Also settled three credit cards after getting information from the website. Thanks. But three of them wont budge. All are in collections. Cit-$8,000. Dell-$1500.
