is this legal in washington state? anyone have any info?

These guys have been calling me every moring at 8 AM. They have been asking for my birth-dates and SSN. This is nothing but harrasing. Quit calling me fro goodness sake.

my mother is being sued and we just recieved the summons from a jdb. but one big problem to note:my mother has been deceased since 2003..her estate has been through probate and dissolved. now the ca is saying they will just sue my dad now..my dad has no idea about the account or the oc. can we pull my decease mothers cf to obtain any info about this account? i sent a debt validation letter a few months ago and recieved nothing. i can't really say when this account was opened b/c no one really knows anything about it.

I've been editing out a few threads posted mostly from guest accounts. I've come across several highly agitated moderator editings and I will admit I am concearned. Why are we editing out guest trash then trashing the guest themself afterwards? Is that really the message we want to send to potential members? guest who have different opinions? Even if we have to deal with some trash we don't want people afraid to post here. I admit that many many many of the post edited was complete and utter trash but there isn't any need to trash talk back and act just like the OP.

i'm currently paying off a debt owed to BOA through leading edge recovery and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issues as i am. i have made an agreement and requested for statements in which i receive in a timely manner. the amount i'm paying for in these scheduled payments is that of 200.00. in viewing my statements i see a discrepancy in the balances from the previous statement with my current. is that normal? i have called them once to complain and the woman says she'll look into and will give me a call back. to this day she hasn't. what should i do?

I was wondering if someone could post an example of a cease and desist letter that could be sent to sallie mae?

Does anybody know the answer to this question? I was in default and the creditor put a lien on my home. Since that time, the judge removed my default and judgement but I have received no notice that the lien on the home was removed. I live in Calif. Does the plaintiff have a certain amount of time to remove the lien, and if he doesn't, can I use this to get the case dismissed? It's now been about six weeks since the judge's ruling and I've received nothing from the county or the court. Thank You, Scott.

I was looking on a "credit repair" website and it said something about too many disputes will get you red flagged by the credit bureaus.... Is there any truth to this because I have written to disputes the inaccurate items on my credit and its more then 6..

Hi... Im here because I had fraud done to me. someone opened a Fidelity account in my name and basically transferred 15,000 dollars on an account they made in my name. Fidelity took it to court the first couple times I went to court and I moved. After i moved they had another court date and sent it to my old address and it entered a default judgement which I did not know until maybe a couple weeks ago when they "somehow" found out my correct address and served me papers to appear with an attorney to see about my assets..
