I have been dealing with BOA for a few weeks now. I settled 47k on 2 of their cards for 28%. They said on the phone that they will take 3 pmts., that they will fax me a letter with the agreement & that it is going to be reported as "paid as agreed". I got tired of waiting for the letter so I consulted with a couple of attys. who advised me to file chapter 7bk. I do not want to file bk, so I called BOA to tell them that since they never faxed me the letter I had not put the money in the bank to make the 1st payment.

At the time I was told they were going to fax a letter with all the terms of the settlement for me to have. They never did. I did not deposit the money for the 1st of 3 payments. I consulted with 2 bk attorneys who advised me to file chapter 7. I don't want to do that, so I called BOA & told them I will be filling chapter 7 next week. I received the letter with same settlement offer & new dates. 1st. payment is due tomorrow.

Shows I owe $7.369.00 but want tell me who it is

I do not have a copy of a jugement that's against me, neither any information about the company that the original debt originated. Would it be feasible for me to send a validation of debt letter to the law firm or/either the collection agency?
