What do I do now?

17 years 1 month ago
I just got another call from Troy Smith.  He said he was collecting on two loans that were taken out in 2006.  I told him my loans had been paid.  He transferred me to his attorney "in the United States" as I told him I knew he was not in the country, this was a scam and I did not owe anyone anything.  He argued with me, said he was going to take legal action, etc.  Spoke with very heavy accent.  When I asked repeatedly for his phone number, he gave me 22023255.  This is obviously not enough for a phone number.  When I asked him to repeat it, he hung up.  I tried to call back to the n

Credit Card Companies Negotiate A One Time Lump Sum Settlement?

17 years 1 month ago
Hi, I have a few cards with large balances and over the past year I have been making the minimum payments and while a bunch of them have been late, none of the accounts have reached collection companies.  I would like to stop making the minimum monthly payments and make lump sum payments to pay off the remaining balances however I don't have all the money needed.  I have read in different places that collections companies would be willing to negotiate for a lump sum payment, but since my accounts have yet to reach the collection companies, I am wondering if the credi

Can anyone please help me?

17 years 1 month ago
I really need help, I feel like I am drowning. I am in my late twenties and when I got my job six months ago and was behind on rent and so I got my first payday loan. I made the classic mistake or taking the easy route of just paying the extension fee. Then over two moths I had several out of the budget major expenses car repair, computer stolen, etc. I applied for a couple credit cards but was declined, I think mostly because I have very little credit history, so I kept getting new loans at different places I didn't get any on-line, all are at different payday stores in Arizona.

Need Payday Loan Advice in Vermont

17 years 1 month ago
I took out 4 internet payday loans about a year ago from CLK Management (Ameriloan, USFast Cash, United Cash Loans, and 500Fast Cash).  I'd used these services in the past and had always paid my loans in full, though it was always a struggle as many of you probably already know.  But I've had enough.  Times are tough and just paying the mortgage and holding down a job is challenging.  I've paid these people many times over at ridiculous interest rates.  I closed my checking account and began to do some research.  I found that internet loans are illegal in Vermont and that CLK claims that

I have been using Rise Above Debt Relief for three months now and have paid about $5,000 into the program.  Today I received a Warrant in Debt (Civil Claim for Money) and have a hearing on 5/7/09 scheduled.  I am wondering if anyone has any experience with debt negotiation companies and receiving a summons?

Non-ChexSystem Banks or Credit Unions in Los Angeles county?

17 years 1 month ago
I owed Bank of American almost $3,000 due to the bad check that someone gave me.  It happend when I was 17 years old.  I tried to negotiate with the bank but it didn't help.  I also reported my case on ftc.gov  but didn't hear anything from them.  Now I really need a checking account.  I wonder if there's a non-chexsystem bank or credit union around Los Angeles county? Thanks

A&S Collections

A&S Collections owner Ronald Saldi is back in jail waiting trail for federal cocaine, marijuana and guns charges.   He doesn't learn too quickly becuase he was out on bond for the same thing last year.  In the mean time Arizona revoked his collection agency licenses for lying on his application.  He was ordered by the court to have no association with A&S due to his criminal activities.  They are running out of family to operate the business because his dad was ordered to stay out of the collection business many years ago when the court shut down International Collections for criminal act
