I just recieved a call and they told me to call 712-400-0539 back. Appartenly I have case downloaded againist me. :lol: The guy had a forgien accent and sound like he was calling from a super busy call center (a lot of background noise). I googled this number and came up with nothing. Just wondering if anybody knows.

I would like to thank everyone here and this wonderful site for all the legal tips and instructions of how to handle CA and judgments. Thank you all. :) The court was very accommodating. They basically have pre-printed forms for you to fill out and even provides instructions what to do and where to go. I went to the court to see how my summon was being served and came back out have my court date some time soon. That was quick. Here is situation without giving too much details. The summon was claimed to have delivered to someone that didn't or never exist.

I received a settlement letter from BofA. Should I follow up with a call into customer services to confirm that the letter/offer is legitimate or will this throw a wrench in the process and muddle things up? The letter clearly states that they will accept the lesser amount as settlement and when completed the account will be considered settled and I will not be obligated to pay the remaining balance. And since the remaining amount is over $600 they will 1099 for the difference. The letter is dated, signed and has my acct #. Am I good to go?? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

HELP! I wish had found this site earlier. I was foolish enough to get myself in this trouble and on top of that I contacted PDL Assistance and got talked into using their services. UGH! I am currently trying to get my money back from them. Here is my problem. I have a ton of loans and after doing some research this morning I think many of these companies are doing business illegally in AZ. I have sent out the request to stop the ACH transactions, although none of them have stopped and now my checking account is so overdrawn with fees I don't know how I will ever pay it off.

What (if any) is the SOL to file a suit againt a CA for violating the FDCPA? I have a few recordings and such that I misplaced when I was moving. they are about 14 months old.

Will and can a creditor remove a negative remark from credit report if ---the debt is 3 years charged off --- you make a reasonable offer?

I am disabled and my lawyer has advised me that I am judgment-proof. Thanks to information from this site, my lawyer has also said that I'm well-informed enough not to get into any traps so that bankruptcy is not really needed. However, I would still like to settle my credit cards if possible. I have 6 debts that are all about three years dillenquent. Two have resulted in uncontested judgments, but again, I have no assests to pull and no pay to garnish.

I keep getting settlement offers from Arrow on a debt they never validated. I got one in Feb offering to settle for 15% and then got one today offer to settle for 55%! They also stated they would extend the offer or accept less. Should I send another DV and just ignore these?
