Question about credit card settlement

12 years 3 months ago
Hi, My name is Adam and I have a question about doing a settlement with a closed credit card account that I have. I currently have an account with HSBC that I owe $3045.85 on. The account has been closed for quite some time now. Over a year at least. I made my last payment on 11/23/2012. I finally called in today after reading over some things. I asked to see if I could talk about settlements. The guy was nice and he said they actually mailed out a letter 2 days ago. He said tat the letter states the settlement is for 2100 which is about 70%.

Help get rid of plain green

12 years 3 months ago
I initially borrowed $250 from plain green loans and had paid back nearly $400, then took the offer to borrow $500. They subtracted a little over $100 that I had left to pay on the original loan and gave me about $375. I've paid them over $800 total by now and they still want almost 400 more. From what I've read I should be paid in full and then some by now? They keep trying to ram $100 through my bank account every week which I don't have and it's costing me NSF fees. They also informed me that they are adding $5 a day for every day I'm past due.

Debt Settlement Letter from creditor

12 years 3 months ago
Hi, I had left US a couple of years back and returning now. When I left, as I couldnt, I stopped all credit card payments. I left my car in the parking lot and called up auto loan company and mentioned that I am leaving the car at that location with keys inside. They told me they were going to come after me but I said I dont have a means to pay.

I had an installment loan with Zest Cash which I now know was illegal tribal loan when it changed to Spot Loan and I overpaid. I received a letter from Stellar Recovery wanting me to pay the balance. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this company.

I'm scared.. plain green loan

12 years 3 months ago
I mean, they claim they aren't a payday loan.. but not sure how true that is. I just took out a $500 loan because I couldn't get approved elsewhere and it only occurred to me to google them AFTERWARDS... ugh.. now I am scared they will screw me over and try to hunt me down.. I plan to make the first payment march 22, and then pay it off completely a few days later, when I get my taxes back... do you think they will try and charge me a crazy amount? like keep charging me after I pay it off????

Payday Loans in Ohio

12 years 3 months ago
Hello, I have been reading many of the posts here and have put the great advice to use. There is just one thing that I am having trouble with, and that is finding out if my payday lenders are legal or illegal in the state of Ohio. I went to the Division of Financial Institutions web site and tried to do a license lookup, but I could not get the license roster to download. I am not sure what the DBA names are for my lenders. Could somebody here please help me find out if these following lenders are legal or illegal in Ohio?

California Payday Loan Hell

12 years 3 months ago
I recently went through a snowball effect of life events that have put me in payday loan hell. I have every intention of paying them back but it needs to be on terms that I can manage. How can I do this and which is the best option for me. I understand this will effect my credit, so what is the least effecting? I want to avoid being sued or wage garnishments. I have 8 payday loans, I live in California and I closed my bank account already.
