Has anyone ever heard of National Center for Unclaimed Funds? I got a letter from them stating I had 30 days to respond to them that they were holding funds due to me. It sounded really fishy. I've googled and looked them up on ripoff but I can't really seem to find anything. Before I call them I wanted to see if anyone else had gotten anything from them. All I know is there based out of California. There is only a PO Box listed on the envelope. No physical address. I'm not expecting money from anything.

I have defaulted on a few PDL's. 1 sold my debt to a collections agency and the CA told me that this is affecting my credit report. The lender was illegal in the first place and I paid way to much in the finance/roll overs that I am not giving a dime to this agency. I worry that this little 600 will affect my credit score. Do I have grounds to dispute it if it is on there?

I am dealing with this company right now and have read many forums on the scam they are pulling. All of them are back a few years ago. I am wondering if anyone has had recent dealings with them.

I am being sued by a 3rd party collector for capital one. I do not want t ignore this and recieve a default judgement. Can I send a debt validation letter? I am in Lousiana.

If both the CA and I agree they have the wrong person i.e. wrong SS#, do they have to stop calling and remove our phone# from the data base if I verbally ask them to over the phone or do I HAVE to send a RR CL to them? They do not have my address and I do not want them to get it from the letter. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have had a payday loan with mycashnow.com off and on for over two years. I have always paid them back. But this time, I cannot. After reading some of your posts... I understand because I'm in New York State, I may not have to pay them back?

Hello, I have an oustanding paydayloan from Payday Flash. I sent them an email that I could not be contacted at work as well as the wage assessment letter through email and certified. I then received this email yesterday. Any advice? Name removed for your protection, Shazzers This letter serves as notice of intent to prosecute for summary judgment . Court Filing scheduled 3/26/09.

My husband is an AU on my CC, it states the card is in good standing b/c we always pay on time, but the Balance is $8,700 and the limit $9000. Question is, would having the trade line removed from his credit report hurt or help? THanks!

Just curious. For the first time my refund is delayed due to it being selected for a review. This has never happened to me and I'm curious to see if anyone else has ever had this happened. When I called the IRS they tell me this is not an audit. The funny thing is that my refund is being offset because of my student loans. Any info or experience would greatly be appreciated.

Hello. I live in PA and I just went onling to public records and saw an arbitration judgment was awarded against me yesterday. I was aware of the suite and I filed my answer on time. I was never notified of a court date. What are my options now. Can I fill a motion to vacate judgment? If so does anyone have a good sample letter? Also if the judgment is vacated will they try to go after my bank account or will they try other means first? Thanks for your help
