I took out a pdl from cash transfer centers. Last Friday I put a block on my account and I called them telling them that I closed my account (now I really do have it closed). They said that I need to money gram 1963 for the loan, finance charge, and 2 return fees. I know they are illegal in mn. The guy said the collections department would probably be calling me about the loan. What do I say to them and has anyone got payment arrangements with them?

Well today is my first time browsing this site and its very helpful. i am 29years old i dont have any kids. i am struggle due to pay loans i got when i moved out for the first time. i had too much pride to ask my family due to money being short on their end. All my payday loans are up to date but i have no extra money becasue i live check to check due to this. i am very embarassed to talk to someone about this but i just cant take it anymore.i have a total of 7 storefront payday loans, 2 installment loans, 1 online and a couple credits issues.

hello friends, I was trying to validate a debt with Zenith Acquisition in NY. The first Cert Mail Ret Receipt I sent never produced a response from them. After 30 days I sent another one, on Feb 20, and that one never came back. I reported it and USPS wrote back that they will note the issue but that is it. What should I do now? Should I send another DV letter same way? or use some other type of traceable mail? Thank you for any advice:) stevenaloha

Instead of settling with the cc's, why not just close the account and set up payment arrangements? No interest is accrued and the interest rate is good? Citi just offered to close my account and put me on a plan to pay off the balance within 1 year. Low interest rate. I can manage that. How bad will it damage my credit to close all of my cc's (6 in all)?

Hey, I was just wondering how in the world to get out of this mess that I am in. I have 12 payday loans, but can't even get my head above water. I don't want the checks to go back, because I can't risk being taken to court due to my job. A garnishment can cause me to loose my job. I know that if I could just get out from under them I would have money to pay a loan company back. My question is, when you have exhausted everything that you can, what do you do???? Does anyone know of a loan company that I can take a loan from just to get out from under this... Please help!!!

I mean no disrespect to anyone, but it sure is nice to know I am not alone in collection hell!! I was just curious as to how many different collection agencies a bad debt(credit card debt)can jump to and from, and when and if do they give up? or possibly sue you? I was living the dream, now it is more a nightmare
