Hi, I just found this forum after I had just called Afini :( Here is the situation. I was checking my credit report and came across something that is showing in collections with Afini. After calling Verizon and being routed to Afini I find out it is a charge from OCT 02 and they offered to settle. I don't remember the charge (and my phone still works). Anyway it was only for 233.03 and they agreed to settle for half. I wanted my credit cleaned up fast so I was going to pay but I told them I would call back. In the meantime I found this site and read about SOL's.

2 years ago I finished my Chapter 128 plan in WI. I have since found myself in debt again, all payday loans and am seriously considering filing Chapter 128 again. The first time I filed, all my debt was on credit cards and a couple of payday loans. Everything went smoothly and did not have any problems. Now all I have is payday loan issues. I am married, but all the debt is in my name only. Can I file in my name only? The first time I was able to file my name only because all the credit cards were in my name only. Please help!

Anyone ever heard of them. I got a call from someone I belive the collection agency for bahama marketing group telling me I had to pay 3 times what i owed and claiming he was a officer and i would lose my job and all this nonsence. Anyone ever heard of them. I should have learned my lesson on payday loans ugg..
