Lifeguard Financial Fort Lauderdale

Their BBB reports reflects an "A" rating. I checked them out after being contacted for a debt settlement program. I spoke with a guy named Tim who was very informative and gave me all the pros and cons regarding debt settlement. I saw other posts here about them when I Googled them and I thought I would just put me 2 cents in. I have talked to other companies in the past who tried to hard sell me into signing up but I think if I move forward with this option I will probably go with Lifeguard.

Who to contact for settled letter?

17 years 3 months ago
Once you settle with a collection company and have paid the amount agreed to, who do you contact to request a letter indicated the account is now settled in full? Do you contact the collection company or the creditor/debt owner they were collecting for? I have the initial agreements in writing that If such and such payments are received the account will be closed/settled, etc. So I am asking about letters after the payments have been applied to the account to have documentation that the payments were received as agreed and the account is now settled. Who do I contact for those?

Pro Collect SOL Expired

17 years 3 months ago
My husband received a letter from Pro Collect Incorporated about a debt from a dentist. I sent them a validation letter in which they sent me a copy of the account history. The last payment made by my husband was 11/20/2000. The history shows that letters were sent to him in October 2002 and then it says it was uncollectable on 1/24/2006. I know that the SOL is 4 years in Texas but before I send them a letter telling them that I want to make sure. Does anyone have a good letter to use for the SOL that has expired?

Order of Default - Suttel & Associates

17 years 3 months ago
A couple months ago I received a summons from Suttel & Associates for a debt that I owe. The summons did not have a court stamp or file number on it and requested that I appear at S&A in person. I assumed it was a scare tactic. Today I received a certified copy of an Order of Default Judgement that has been filed with the county over the debt. It judges/decrees that I owe the debt but doesn't have any other information. It is accompanied by a scary letter from S&A telling me to identify any property that I have that would be exempt. What does that mean?

Need payday loan help

17 years 3 months ago
I need some help with payday loans. I have been reading the posts and feel so relieved that I am not alone with this problem. This disastrous situation has been going on for far too long and I can't meet these payments anymore and pay my other bills at the same time. I had no idea that some of these payday loan lenders were not legal. I currently have 11 payday loans.

I have a questions regarding a card holder given to me. This agreement is suppose to be the one that I agreed to. (Although it has a copyright of 2003 and they say I opend the account in 2001.) It says under Parties to Agreement: "We," "us," and "our" refer to Bank of America, NA.
