I recently received a letter from National Recovery Service. I had a loan with Kenwood Services for $300 - illegal in AL since only one rollover is permitted. I paid $450 to them....so I know I've paid for the principal plus loan fee plus some. How should I respond to the CA about the debt they say I owe $480. Thanks!

So, these are pretty much all the same place. If you read on the BBB site, you will see that the contact names are similar/the same. Payday ok is not a member of the bbb. Has anyone that has not had luck reaching a solution with them filed with the BBB? Any results? What does that process entail?

I had a phone yesterday from a company that wanted to sign me up with their program to lower my credit card rates? Is this a good idea or should I try to this myself?

Man did the credit union and DFI tune change once i produced documentation on the Electoronic Fair Debit collection act, and saved copies of letters I sent revoking the payday lenders auth that they did not honnor (suprise suprise) and since my account was already negative, the bank refused to do anything. Anyway once I went back to DFI with the letters, and copy of the Electonric Fair Debit Collection act,they went back to the bank. Well the bank is just now getting around to it even though DFI gave them to December 31st to answer.

Hello! I'm trying to get my life back on track and I've gathering information about my payday loans. The amounts that I've paid for the online loans goes back to June but I don't have all the information on payments to the storefront loans. I'll get as much as I can posted on that in the next couple of days but I'm don't think I have all the reciepts for them since I paid in cash and was stupid enough not to keep all of the reciepts in any kind of a systematic way.

I have an elderly aunt and uncle, whose income is ssi and a monthly pension. They are in a really bad position money wise, if they just stop paying their CC's, are they considered judgement proof, since they don't have "real job income" ? They are in their 80's, live in Ohio. Thanks Reny

good morning everyone, please advise if you have a moment to spare:) i found two small debts on my report. 132$ and 158$ i wroteto the collectors asking debt validation but never used CMRR, stupidly. I did not hear from them. I resent the debt validation letters CMRR and am expecting the green slips in mail anytime now. what should I do next? thank you for all your advise, this forum is a blessing. cheers! steve

does anyone know if applied bank will flag the report to the credit bureaus as a secured card. Consumer Action points out that such a flag could be a deterrent to rebuilding credit... thx:)

I received a billing for $9.95 and another for $24.95 on my Visa Statement posted Dec. 26 '08. Ref.# 26140200336 and #26134959392. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH TO 800 220-2626 TO INFORM THAT i NEVER RECEIVED REPORT AND WHY THE TWO CHARGES??? Please reply, there is no way by phone...
