Lets say a debt collector uses an attorney to sue you in court and then that attorney mails you interrogatories, request for documents and request for admissions. Everything looks legal, it's on an attorney letterhead and initialed by the attorney and the envelope has the attorneys office on it. Now what if all of the above was NOT from an attorney as in my situation. Everything says the information is from Boston but the zip code where it was mailed from is in Cumberland RI.

Hello everyone, and thank you in advance for your replies. I have about $20,000.00 worth of unsecured credit card debt (across 3 CCs and one Line of Credit). I have no trouble making minimum payments, but at the same time, I am not really able to pay enough extra to get out of debt and I see 65% of my payments vanishing into interest. It feels like I'm just throwing away money, month after month. My first idea was to get a large, low interest loan to consolidate, but after some researching and several applications, I was unsuccessful.

I have two credit cards. One is with BOA and I owe $5500 and the other is Juniper and I owe $8000. Right now both are 2 months behind because I basically live paycheck to paycheck and have no savings so when something like the holidays show up or extra cold winter or car repairs, I am short at the end of the month. I've been looking into debt settlement companies but it is so intimidating finding one since there are so many scams out there. I've been reading this forum and read the letters section of the site and was wondering if I should try to settle with them on my own.

I have recently gotten into the Payday Loan trap too far, and now am trying to get back above water. Right before x-mas, I called Town & Country Acceptance to help me with 8 payday loans, that were taking up more than my paychecks! First off, I closed my bank account, and thet then agreed to put my PDLs on a smaller payment plan for a $195 fee to start with... then I agreed to $260 per month after Jan 1st. I am still receiving a dozen or more calls from PDL companies, since signing up with this service!

Does anyone know an address or phone number to together cash an online payday loan center?

Anyone heard of them or work with them in past?

Has anyone heard of this debt relief company? Fast Track Debt Relief????

We need immediate help due to multiple payday loans in Az. I don't want to get to the specifics of how we got here but let me just say it was something we had to do to survive several unfortunate hardships. We have several questions and are extremely nervous about our situation. I just cant continue in this mode anymore and need help.

Should debt valadation and c/d letters be signed or just typed name on them. And they should always be sent Certified, return address correct? Dealing wiht Nationwide Credit and they keep contacting me at work even though I have told them over the phone to not call me at work. Thanks Oh yeah should it be one letter or two seperate letters?

My situation I am currently in a debt settlement program with two business credit cards (California LLC). Amex card $39k balance Wamu card: $17k balance. The Wamu card has offered to settle for about 40% of the balance. However since the Amex card had a higher balance (not to mention tacking on over 1k in late fees, etc. per month) I wanted to attack that first. I just found out from the debt negotiator yesterday that the account has been transferred from a collection agency to a lawfirm, and that the lawfirm is getting ready to file a lawsuit.
