I was just sitting here wondering if I'll be committing some kind of a crime if I take my answer to the summons and sign it in front of a notary. The summons is in my premarried name.

I have a creditor garnishing my wages and then clearing out my bank account. Same creditor. Everytime I call them I get a different answer on how much I owe them. I wrongly ignored the bill for years, but recently decided I wanted to fix up my credit, pulled my report, and called everyone on it I owed money to set up payments. I called them and they originally said I owed 600 dollars and some change. I made a payment, but my next one was late due to my absent-mindedness. My payment was already in the mail to them 5 days late when they started the garnishment.

How can I get them to stop calling my work number.
