I have sent "the letter" to support @ discountadvances.com. I have not received acknowledgement of this letter (sent it 2 days ago). Today, I get the email that I have a payment coming due on Friday and that x amount will be deducted. I replied to it and copied the original letter I had sent along with it. Messages have always been sent from this address to my email. Their website had no email address listed. Just a phone number. Does anyone have a different e-mail address for them? I also noticed they are out of Grenada.

I've seen several addresses for them on the forum, but I also know that they move a lot. Would anyone be willing to give me the most recent address? (Or link me to the latest listing?) Jen

Hello, I'm new to the boards. I had signed a 12 month lease with a co-signer (my mother) at an apartment complex in ohio, and I lived in the place for over a year and a half. The people who owned the property sold it to another business after my original lease had expired. Upon moving out I followed the proper procedure (30 days notice, giving up my keys), and I never received my security deposit back, or an itemized list of charges as required by ohio law. They now have a record on my mother's credit report for $320, and they're pressuring me to pay it.

If the first 30 days have passed from when i received letter from lawyer can I still ask for debt to be validated

Chase has offered me a 35% Settlement on 19000. The amount is for $6900. I have another 130,000 coming up in collections. This is the first offer i have received from them. Should I take it or hold out for 20% around $3800? I need a little insight on what to do next. This website has been an inspiration and has definitely helped my blood pressure.

I filed for bankruptcy which was discharged in November of 2008. I was looking at my credit report and all of my former creditors list bankruptcy except 2. They put me down as a charge off. I looked this up and now know what it is but am confused about why they did this instead of saying they were discharge. Is this something I need to have changed? Or I guess a better question is can be changed? I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?

I had not filed a tax return since 1998 and the IRS hit me last year, and as a result I entered into a payment plan with the IRS in mid 08. They went back 10 years on me to 1998 which happened to be the largest amount I owed in total. They threw out three years they actually owed me because we can only go back three years as citizens (that's a whole nuther rant!). Anyway, my question is, that since they apply my monthly payment to the oldest amount owed, can I now drop the remaining 98 amount off my total in order to bring my payment down? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can anyone tell me if they have settled with AmericanExpress for under 50%? What were your circumstances? I currently owe AmEx about $12,000 and am 90 days past due. They have sent my account to a CA who is offering to settle, at about 70%. They are threatening law suit if I don't pay. I am freaked out by this! I can settle with them but not at such a high rate. Any suggestions?

Is anyone in this program. Do they really do what they say? Bank of America called me at work and threated me.
