Summons/Capital One Credit Card Las Vegas,NV

17 years 4 months ago
I just received a summons for a credit card I had with Capital One. It's a notice of lawsuit that gives me 20 days to respond. I did default on the credit card, but have no way to pay it off unless I can settle it. I'm closing my bank accounts this month and re-gaining some control over 3 pay day loans, so this is a monkey wrench I was not expecting. Any advice is appreciated.

Reasons for Not Paying PDL

As many of you know, I represent the "otherside" of the payday loan situation. Based on that and many of the posts that I have read on here, I wanted to put a question out there about when you took out a PDL. This is not a thread for bashing myself or another poster, nor is it an opportunity "flame" another person or company. If it turns into that, this will be closed. ----------------------------------------------------- Having read posts from individuals that have gotten into trouble with PDL, I see a few commonalities. 1.

buyout

does anybody know what these CA's pay for all this debt they are buying? I have heard its usually around .12 to .15 cents on the dollar. But then I have heard its as low as .05 cents. How can you make a CA prove what they paid for it and try and work a settlement where they still make a profit?

it is never ending

well, i am alot like everyone in debt. mine started when i got married 20 years ago, things were good at first, then i quit my job to stay home and keep my kids, that lead to using credit cards for everything, never using cash. it escalated into mounds of debt, could not even pay my 400.00 house payment, finally i just stopped, i could not do it, i stopped paying creditors, i got in some check trouble, and it has been that way ever since. of course to this day, my credit is ruined, and will probably be for a long time.
