How can I be sure they won,t renig on the verbal agreement

I was served this last week for a debt from over 6 years ago, I now have until Monday of next week to file an answer? I have a friend who is an attorney, but, would the statute of limitations apply? I saw in Texas it is 4 years? It's for a credit card, $2400. The attorney's office who served me, called before I was served, but after they filed the suit, and wanted me to obtain a line of credit or loan to pay off the total amount? How do you file an answer? They have a list of questions on the pleadings they want me to answer?

i have just mailed and e-mailed all the internet based pdls that i still have open accts with that i have closed my checking acct. i tailored the form which i got off of this site. should i speak privately with the HR perston at work in case i start getting phone calls or they harass hr at work. i am really afraid about losing my job. my husband has been ill for 4yrs and unable to work and we are still waiting on disability from our wonderful govt aere any advocacy groups i can join to help get these places closed down. i want to do everything in my power for this not to happen to other people

Is the Little Loan Shoppe a PDL and are they licensed in New Jersey. Their website says installment loans. I currently have an outstanding loan with them and need to know before I proceed. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I went through typical hardships starging dec 2006, including divorce, job loss, moving out of state etc,, I have approx 4 credit cards with about 30,000 in debt. 3 are in collections and are 2 years past due. The other is about 1 1/2 year past due. I am in NC and the accounts were started in PA. I know that my wages cannot be garnished. I do not want to file bankruptcy as I am making sufficient money now but need the extra to live on. Any suggestions on debt settlement/negotiation companies that are reliable and that have worked?

Hi, all, I am new to this site and happy at all the infor mation have I found on SSM/SJM/OSL/SUMMIT GROUP/PLATINUM B, FTR Processing, i found these companies are all linked and claim to be in the West Indies. In december I checked my account that I had nt used for some months, only to find that i owed $190 in overdraft charges. I gound out that it had come from SSM Group.

can an employee of the company serve papers via mail. I was served by Eskanos and Adler and process server was located at same address.Since I have dealt with these %^%$$%^ before I dont trust anything they do, OH if you are being harassed by these guys I have beat them twice in court
