Hi guys, This morning I had someone come to my door which I thought was odd for the time of day so I didn't answer it. I didn't think anything of it until I thought maybe I was being served or something. I went online and searched county records and saw that there was a case open against me by Capital One. I did some further digging and it looks like the law firm handling this for them is Rubin & Debski. I want to make this whole situation go away and not have to deal with the court. What can I do? Please help. Thanks!!

Can anyone speak about the validity of either of these companies? My family is in a quick fix and I've never done these internet PDLs but we are weighing all our options to avoid eviction. Thanks for your help.

About 1 year ago I got 2 separate collection notices from a company saying I owed Columbia House $$$. I called them up, told them I had not ordered anything from them, and had called Columbia House myself to tell them this. The collection agency closed the account on the spot and I never heard back from either. Starting 6 months ago, AI then started calling me almost daily, up to 4 times a day, but NEVER left a single voicemail message. I have received no collection letters. I checked my Credit Report last week and nothing.

I'm still looking for info on Primepayday.com. All I've found is that it is a financial service in the greater Chicago area, owner, Kevin Ranalli. It is an online PDL, but I'm not sure it is legit. Anyone from the Chicago area? I'm also checking cashstargroup too.

Well the lawyer took the last payment today for one of my storefront loans and now that one is done and gone :D 2 more in collections and 3 I am dealing with myself. one has a balance of $120 and another one has a balance of $150 one is much much higher, the 2 in collections one will be paid off in feb and the other in march :) woohooo!!! These are the last (legal) ones I have left!!! I am counting the days when I can come on here and say payday loan free :D The light is getting brighter, I can see the end of the tunnel!!!!!!

OK....can someone please answer these questions for me. I live in Wisconsin, have 2 legal store front loans, and neither are affiliated w/the CFSA. I want to close my checking account, and open a new one. I want to pay these off, but can't w/the interest cycle. If I do this, and also, send them a letter prior, or after that they I do NOT give them the authority to deposit my checks, and to NOT contact anyone other than myself regarding my debt...and only by my personal phone....will they have to adhere to that?

I need advice. I have credit card debt...Was a little under $10,000. Over the years, it's grown to about $15,000 with late fees, etc. I haven't used these cards or made a payment on these cards since 2005. I actually cut them up when I realized that it was going to be impossible for me to keep up with them. I've thought about filing bankruptcy, but I'm afraid that they will take my house, and our vehicles. I received a settlement a few years ago ( before the credit card debt) because of a health problem.
