Can a collection company in Los Angeles call me more than once a week? Can they threaten me, sue, judgement, lien on my upside down property?
They were very sarcastic and said very nasty things to me.
If being late or having an account written off negatively affects your credit and paying it off once its been late or written off still negatively affects your credit, why pay it off? Why not just save yourself some money and let it go? I'm just curious.

I will never get a car from this company again. They sent me a letter stating that my Nov. 30th payment was past due and that I have until the Dec. 20th to make a payment otherwise they will excercise their right to possible repossession. I made the Nov. payment on Nov. 30th over the phone using my debit card which is documented by my bank statement, which I have faxed over to Citifinancial. They claim they cannot find the payment and want to me to send a another payment in the form of a money order. So now I have 2 payments due, the one they lost and now my Dec. payment. This can't be right.
I am being sued by Weltman, Weinburg, and Reis on behalf of Discover Bank. While I believe the debt is correct I sent a DV letter months ago with no responce. I also sent a payment arangment letter that got no response. I know recieved a leter stating that a rrrrsuit has been filed. I confirmed with county clerk today. I need to file an answer with in 20 days so I default judgment is not granted.
Does anyone know what TLC stands for? I tried looking up their license on our states DFI website but I can't find it.. and was wondering if maybe they have it filed under a full name?
They are trying to collect on an old payday loan (that *is*) licensed in my state, but the according to the DFI site the collection agency isn't.. which makes that they can't collect on the debt according to someone in DFI.
I saw a fax from wells fargo to my human resourses dept asking them for my employment info. I owe them around 7 thousand and have been unable to pay but was going to consolidate my debt with them and a few other creditors after the holidays can they garnish your wages in ny state I thought they would just send it to a collection agency should I contact them and let them know I am going to consolidate.
