I had received a summons to court from Mel S. Harris and Associates, representing Pinpoint Technologies, for a debt that I honestly do not believe is valid. I had previously sent a debt validation letter, and sent another copy to Pinpoint, Mel S Harris, and the court. I heard nothing for quite some time. A few days ago, I received a notice from the court that a pre-trial conference had been scheduled for December. Then today, I get a letter from Mel S.

I have a question about this awful place. I have tried to get a copy of the alleged contract I signed and they will not give it to me. I filed a complain with the Ohio attorney generals office and Geneva Roth flat out lied to them and said they emailed me a copy. Which they never did. Now the Attorney General is considering the case closed, but I still want proof from this company. Is there anything I can do.

Here is my story. Over the past several years I borrowed approximately $8K from a friend. A few months ago we had a falling out and he asked for the entire lump sum paid in full. I only make $2K/month and have zero savings at all, and I explained to him that while I was willing to repay, there was no way I could do it in full all at once. I offered a payment plan, and then he contacted an attorney, who has contacted me. I showed my budget and paychecks to the attorney and explained that I wanted to pay the debt, but just could not do it all at once.

what is the minimum amount of debt you can have in order for someone to get help? Most of these websites start at 10,000

Hello, I've been looking for a forum like this and need some help. I am in the middle of a short sell and have over $28k in CC debt. Any suggestions. I have been late but am not currently behind. Interest rates are high on a few, 0 on some. Any suggestions? This is so depressing

I got a collections letter yesterday. Total amount due 5600. They have had the account since April. Debt is valid. CA offered settling for 60% but didn't want to put it writing. I know to get everything in writing so I declined and hung up. What are the chances of settling for 40%? How long do I have befoe it goes the way of garnishment? After a settlment in writing do they reneg the deal? Hilco is the CA

my vehicle was repossessed after 2 payments behind. There was a $7,800 deficiency (plus $3,000 in other fees) judgment in August 2008. When does this come off my credit report? Is it from the date of first delinquency, or now from the judgement. They just issued a lein on me the other day as well. Thanks for any feedback!
