I have an incorrect 30 day late on my CR in regard to my mortgage payment. My bank statements clearly show that I made this payment on time. My question is, can I take care of this over the phone with the mortgage co, or do I need to do it in writing?

After sending them the letter revoking the ach and telling them they were not licensed in Florida I did not hear from them for a year, until September 2008, where they call and they say we owe $1320 (my husband got the call at work and told her that he cannot get phone calls at work. This Northway tried even after I had stop the ACH tried to get the money and someone in the bank debit the account so I went in and talked with the manaager and they credited back to my accountthe money and that is when we closed the account and opened another one that has been over a yr also.

Hello all I am down and out. I am looking for some advice on whether to settle with my creditors myself or use an agency. My wife and I owe over 60 k in credit card debt. I am not behind as of today but tomorrow I am screwed. My credit cards are all from USAA. Should I seek a 3rd parties help or can I do this myself

I obtained a loan with Nationwide Cash in Sept 2007. I paid off the loan on my following payday. I then requested a new loan and was unable to pay it as orginally agreed due to fraud that occured when my checks were stolen my checking acct was overdrawn and Ambassador as they were called was unable to draft my acct because the bank closed it. I reopened a new acct in Feb 2008. They never sent me any info regarding any remaining amount, they have just deducted 2 pymnts of $45 ea from my checking without informing me verbally or in writing.

I am newly married. 3 years. A bad real estate tax deal, business investment via credit cards to fund development, and a souring economy have put me in a position of not being able to pay my credit cards. some have gone for several months without payment. I have hoped for cash flow to come in and then negotiate! hasn't happened and now the massive credit crunch. all my credit accounts are in my name prior to my marriage. i feel terrible that my credit situation may impact my wifes perfect credit. I can't sleep for months now. I am wreck.

I just got a letter today from First National Collection Bureau for an account that I do owe.I need no validation, I owe this and am willing to pay it.The letter states they will accept a settlement which I do feel is a good settlement offer and want to pay it.The letter states afer paying the settlement amount the debt will be closed and considered settled.My question is, I know many collection agencies are very untruthful and the last time I sent in a payment to a CA by the date specified to settle a debt, the company held my check past the date the settlement offer was good through then cas

I got a call from a debt collecter in July they left a message in July and are yet to try and contact me again....should i call them back or just wait for them to call again ? ?
