I got a call from a collection agency, for a credit card bill that my ex boyfriend claimed in his bankrupsy in 2004. We had joint account on this card. But the debt is over 8 years old. I send them a fax informing them that I received a call regarding a debt with the file number my rep gave me. and that I do not recognize the said debt. at which time their agent rudely and bluntly refused and threaten me with legal action.

I have 9 loans out and can't afford to pay them anymore. I'm not sure what to do. I am getting my self sick over this. I live in Ohio.

I have 3 storefronts

HI ALL!

I got a call at my office that Lakota Cash is looking to talk to my boss regarding employment verification....if PDL'S are illegal in NY - how can they call my job about garnishments/verifications?...im freaking out a bit!

please advise.



Im registered with the forum - its under jelac but im on a computer at work and didnt want it to save my sign on info.

I had a payday loan company present a post dated check to my bank and it bounced. They are now telling me that they are going to charge me with check fraud. Can they do this in WA State?

I got a title loan for $600 on a 98 Escort 134000 mi on it I paid a payment of $200 on the first payment. The second payment is now due. I called the title loan company and asked jow i go about just dropping off the vehicle? The lady replied just come in and sign ov the vehicle. The next day i received a phone call saying that wasnt good enough and i would owe still on the balance that is left over balance after it was auctioned. Is that legal? Is their anything i can do?

I have a loan through Western Sky which is being serviced through Cash Call. I sent them a letter explaining that the loan is illegal in Virginia and that the original amount of the loan was for 1000 and have paid 6 payments of 198.19 which pays back the orginial amount and that they owe me a refund of 189. They have not responded to my emails. I have sent a letter withdrawing my consent for ACH withdrawals and a cease and desist notice. They continually call my cell and work number sometime 2 times an hour.

I am in Georgia and have 3 loans. I was OK until I lost some of my income and now nobody will work with me and lower my payments. My loans, amount deposited and amount paid so far are:
Plain Green Loans - $2600.00 -pd $786.60
Great Plains Lending - $900.00 - pd $377.76
Cash Call - $2600.00 - pd $2100.22

Can you please give me some advice? Thanks!

I have been able to stop the the withdrawals and the calls by using advice found here, but now I have received an email from them stating the following:

Past due amount $1,646.30 This letter is to inform you that your loan will be charged off December 31, 2012 and assigned or sold to a 3rd party unless acceptable arrangements are made to resolve the past due balance.  Please allow CashCall the opportunity to assist you before i
