Hi there, If a person has a credit card but the account is closed, and you are still making payments does the score get raised if you make on time payments, or is that only for accounts that are open? I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks

Does anyone know of a good non-profit credit counseling service in central Indiana who might be able to assist me in getting my life back together? Any help appreciated!

I keep getting phone calls or rather my family keeps getting phone calls from LTA, Travis Watson and someone with the last name Parker. I was told I had until 9am on Oct 10 to call them or he was filing with the DA's office to have me arrested for fraud. He called my aunt and told her I committed fraud, how is that, when they have my correct information and they want me to pay 1500 on a 150 loan. They also said that I would be facing 10years in prison for committing a felony. I did not commit any felony. How can I get them to stop.

I was served with a civil warrant for a debt from Buffaloe & Asoc Law Firm for Palisades Collection. It is for $4,000. I was working w/ American Liberty debt settlement co for 3 yrs and they settled all of my debts but 2 until the began trying to take money for things they didn't do etc and I cut ties w/ them. Now I have pd them a bunch of money that I could have paid this debt with but now I have no money. I had a baby and stay home w/ him. I work from home 20 hrs a week and don't even make enough to pay my regular hosehold bills and car payment. What will happen when I go to court??

Watch out for these guys they will screw you over we applied over a yr ago for a loan with these people which we never got the money never was deposited after goign through all our statements and faxing papers to one lawyer and a collection company they hired we thought it was over proving we never recieved this money we were wrong those s.o.b`s filed a flipping 1099 form for 3,000 and said the ywill settle for 600.00 and then we owe the rest to the irs on a flipping 300.00 loan we never recieved now we have to fork out money we do not have for a lawyer and save our social security and tax mon

I just received a letter from them telling me I am governed by the laws of Malta, not Arizona where I reside and unknowingly did a illegal PD Loan over the internet. I have already paid back the loan many times over in interest fees. Can they do anything else? They have all my personal data and I have sent them a letter and fax revoking all ACH and Wage Assessments. Please advise Lori

I have been reading these boards for quite a while now and im more confused then ever when it comes to Validation.

So i finally went for the case management to the court, the lawyer attended via 'phone'. The magistrate advised us to get in touch with each other before pre-trial and try and resolve the issue.. I spoke with the lawyer later today over the phone, and told him my side... He said that he will put everything that I told him in an affidavit, and mail it to me. Once I sign it, he will pass the 'motion to dismiss with prejudice' in the court. He also said that there will be a 'release statement' which I can sign and they will sign as well...
