I have received numberous calls from them and they will not stop calling. I have followed all the tips. Do I just ignore them and they will stop?

I have got myself in quite a jam and I am looking to get out as soon and a painlessly as possible. I am unable to close my bank account as I have read on this site is the best to do. This is because my account is in negative status and the bank has told me the account must be current in order to close it. But the balance will not clear until my paycheck is deposited. The bank has opened a new account for me to have my paycheck sent to but has not closed the other account. My bank is a small credit union. I have paid significant monies to most of the companies that I have dealt with.

If a payday loan goes to collections, can it be put on my credit report?

I had over 20 calls to my job today in a 5 minute period. I kept just hanging up. I sit in close quarters with other people in my office and there is no way to have a private conversation, so I finally answered and lied that I no longer worked there. My cell phone immediately started ringing, so I stepped outside and called this guy back. I was on the phone for over 15 minutes. I told him to stop calling that I did not owe for these PDL's and had legally paid everything I owed.

can we go to prison if we default on a payday loan.

A collection agency is taking me to court stating i owe them 5900, told me they would settle for 4000 if i paid in 1 month and dropped the case. This is for an unsecured credit card. They would not agree to set me up on a payment plan, its all or nothing. Do you think a judge would allow me to make payments and reduce the fine also. I do not have the money to pay 4000. If I loose in court can they garnish my wages. I do not own a home, just a vehicle. Can they do anything to the paid off vehicle. I live in Pennsylvania. I don't know what to do. Help!!!

Please help I am trying to stop all the drafts from coming out of my account. I have closed my chking account and the next draft will be the 30th I need to know what letters to send the pdl. I have eight online paid day loans little loan shop dollar quick eastside lenders impact cash loan usfast cash united cash loan loan shop norstar cash I also need to know where to look and see if they are legal or not. I just received a phone call at home and work from a Jack Bowen at Legal Mediation Practice concerning a defaulted PDL from e-payday-loan for over $1,100. They say I have until 12:00 pm EST or 50 minutes from now before they make a decision to take legal action either at my home or work. I called e-payday-loan and they said the loan is not even with them anymore. They will not take payment arrangements. I do not have the funds to cover all of the debt right now. What should I do? I want to pay them back. Has anyone heard from them in the past and went beyond their first deadline.

I had a bankruptcy dismissed three years ago after getting anew job and being told I didn't qaulify for chapter 7 any longer. I still have outstanding debts that have been charged off or are in collections that I want to get taking care of so I can begin working on rebuilding my credit profile. I was offered several settlements by the creditors for 30-50% of what I owe and am thinking about doing this. How will this be reflected down the road when I attempt to get a mortgage? Do mortgage companies look at settlements as a bad thing? I look forward to hearing any comments and suggestions.

I have over a dozen PDLs and I need serious help, I have defaulted on all, save one, as of today 9/24/08 some I have dealt with for over a year. Roughly half are internet and the other half storefront. I have read other postings and have gotten somewhat of an understanding of how I should deal with them, but if possible I relly need specific advice.
