Hi, I had a credit card account with HSBC that I fell behind on about 8 months ago. Once I missed one payment due to illness, the required minimum payment became way too high for me to be able to pay. Now I kep getting calls from "the Law Office Of John Frye" telling me "they need a call back". I Googled the name and found a bunch of people in a similar situation. My debt was originally $5000 but it now almost $7000 with fees and such added on. My question is, how far canthey take this?

NCO ticked me off this morning. Let me start from the beginning. My daughter passed out at work in March and her employer MADE us take her to the ER (first mistake) She was already 18 but still on hubby's insurance. They took the ins. info but then claimed they never got it. So now the ER doc. ended up sending the bill to NCO. But I had talked to the er doc billing telling them to put the bill in my daughters name (they had it in hubby's name) and send us a bill in her name and then it would get paid. They said ok. Well Wed. I got a call from NCO asking for hubby. It was about this bill.

If the bank can't reject the deposit, how can I pay the loan back today?

I just want to see if I have taken the correct steps. 1) Contacted VT division of banking regarding internet payday loans in vermont and their legality. Was advised to close bank account and copy all e-mails, letters to banking division and the VT attorney generals office. 2) Closed bank account and opened up a new one.

All the property I owne in the world is one 1989 toyota pickup. I already have terrible credit and am old enough not to care. I do have an income, however, a veterans comp. check and social security that comes once a month (direct deposit to my bank acc.) of some $1200 dollars. I'm told that under fed. law neither can be touched by creditors. My debt is a 5 grand cc through bank of america and being collected by Hecker for Pinnicle. My intention is to ignore them, ignore the summons (thus defaulting) and further ignoring any and all interogatories.
