My son received a call from one of my old collection accounts yesterday and he said they were asking all kinds of questions about me. He knows about my credit history and the problems I have, as well as how frequently collectors call and I have clearly told him not to talk to them. However, this particular one (who did not identify herself or the agency) was asking if I still worked at a certain employer and my son said yes. This terrifies me because I'm up for a promotion at work in the ACCOUNTING department and don't want ANYTHING to kill this opportunity.

i have some questions about warrant in debt. like if i go to court if i cant pay it all up front how much will they garnish if they do. will they judge be lenient if i have a kid and one on the way here in 2 weeks and the only one working supporting three people?

I noticed that Experian Credit Reports shows a estimated date when negative credit information is to be removed from credit reports. Does that mean that after items are removed due to the statue of limitations your credit score starts to get better and the negative information can no longer be used against you ?

I live in Texas. I have more than once used MypayLoan.com and paid them off their high intrest. I recently received $600. I have paid them $300 in interest so far. The balance is $750. I have another online loan with Thinkcash.com. I pay them $88.77 every two weeks and have 10 payments left with them. It was a $500 loan and the interest is almost double. I have only made 2 payments with them. This is my second time to use them. Do I start off by sending them letters not to process payment or do I close my acct? What are the proper steps to take? Please help me!

Has anyone heard of Professional Investment & Finances, LLC & if so do yu have a phone number for them.

Have so many loans - don't even know how and am embarrassed but need help. Its taking so much of pay can't barely pay other bills. I don't want to close my bank account unless it is a complete last resort - my spouse doesnt know about these loans and it would be a huge marital problem if found out. I Live in NJ and am confused about whether or not PDLs are legal and how to approach each company to find out how to get them marked paid?

Ok here I go......I live in CA and i have this verizon account being handled by Midland CA. I do not recall ever having Verizon? I am past my initial dunning letter. (I do not recall getting it???). I sent Midland two DV letters and both got no response. today I finally called Midland and the CA told me that they never received the DV letters and that i need to provide them proof that the account doesnt belong to me ????lol.....I asked the lady how I can prove that the account doesnt belong to me and she answered that I must get a police report.

I live in TX an have several payday loans. I called Advanc America and Chech n Go to set up an EPP as both CFSA members. Both companies stated they did not offer such a program. What should I do next?

My husband and I recently sat down and figured out how deep in debt we really are..$60,000 in credit card and personal unsecured loans. We are self employed (own a restaurant) so about half is from business expenses (slow times, startup, etc). Right now, everything is paid on time. Most of the credit cards are maxed out. It's getting harder and harder to make the minimum payments every month and the debt is not going down. We pay ourselves after the business bills are paid, and can't always guarantee that we will get paid at all. What is the best place to start? Any suggestions?
