I know this may sound mundane but having been going through all of this PDL mess has made me go back to the basics of balancing my check book the old fashioned way with a pen and simple arithmatic.I had been using on line banking for many years but I got complacent and simply used the balance in the computer to tell me how much money I had in my checking account.However once I got into the PDL mess I had to close my bank account and start over with a new bank which gave me the opportunity to go back to the basics again.I still have a long way to go with my own PDL mess but being persistant a

My Regards to the community, I am working in a private firm and really want to secure my future by doing some investments as I can’t be so dependent on my current job forever for all my basic needs. . Can somebody help me, to make me decide that where should I invest my money to get long term profits?

Ok- I have read all of your posts about FDRS. I, too, am giving them my hard earned money. When I contacted them, I was connected (after 30 minutes, no joke, on hold) with a complete smart alek. When I asked him how I am supposed to know what FDRS is doing and what the status is he replied "what do want, to come in here and see for yourself?" YES, that is what I want, if you are not going to TELL me what the heck is going on!!! All I know is I am 9 mos into the program, and am still getting calls from creditors and am being sued by debt collectors. What now?

I have an old debt which is out of SOL with Midland the current CA for Providian card. Debt has been validated. They have sent a letter that offered 40% off of nearly $3000 debt. If paid the amount, they said they will make the account "paid in full" on my credit report. It's a normal CA letter with that offer, no signature of any kind, just their name and phone number. What do you think about this offer? Should I take it? What are the consequences?

watching tv and the wonderful commercials this morning and low and behold a CASH CALL commercial...without Gary Coleman of course but at the end it said something to the effect "be responsible for your loan, borrow what you can afford to pay back". WHAT---from stories on this forum how can anyone afford what CASH CALL does?

I am a 24 year old that has about 37K in debt. I want to know what is my best option at this point. I have only a part time job, fell behind in payments when I was laid off. I have already been sued, and I have another case pending....Some has recommend Chapter 7, others suggest debt settlement. What should I do?

I set up EPPs with my storefront loans but have done nothing so far with the onlines, 10 of them. The threatening calls are starting to come in. The problem is that I have at least four of them ($300) loans that I have been paying $90 interest payments on every two weeks since January and February.

Hi. I have an online payday loan with Checkn'Go. Before the payment due date, I sent them an email asking them to put me on the Extended Payment Plan. I also emailed them a letter to inform them I am revoking ACH authorization as well as any wage assignments that I may have signed. I have already set up a hard block on my account. Anyway, I checked the CFSA website and saw that this payday lender is a member of CFSA and that they have to to let borrowers sign up for the installment plan in the event that they cannot repay their loan in full on the due date.
