Hi there- Could someone please direct me to where I can find the Illinois law which governs pdl lending? Thank you!

Let me tell you guys my situation. Me and my wife have about 60K in debt. It was all originated from the 0% balance transfer. I started to cash those 0% apr balance transfer checks into my checking account and use them un-wisely one year ago. I thought I could pay them off before the 0% APR ends but I lost my job at the end of last year. I don't think I will be able to pay anymore. I did some research on my own and found 1 good debt settlement company under the the so called "Better Business Bureau"?. It's called the "Solve Debts".

Is there anyone out there in south carolina that is involved and having good results with debt settlement companies? I feel like a long ranger but I know that there has to be others in south carolina that are getting great help and i am in need of that.

what is the cost for your services and what are the repayment arrangements

I'm a disabled Vietnam Vet. I'm 100% and permanently disabled. I have severe heart and lung disease. It's serious enough that the leading Cardiology Dept in the country, Barns - Jewish in St. Louis, told my wife and I that I could drop dead at any moment without warning. My wife is also disabled due to a stroke. Synerprise is hounding me for a student loan. I filled out th deferment form, as did my doctor, and we both signed it and returned the form to Synerprise right away.A week later I received the same exact form and they wanted me to do it all over again.

we're debating on whether to go with a law firm or a debt settlement company to do our debt settlement. any thoughts on pros or cons of both would be useful. thanks!

Happy holiday and relax filled weekend to everyone!! I was wondering if anyone has dealt with American Credit & Collections LLC, AKA AM Mortgage out of Philadelphia PA? I have seen on Budd Hibbs webpage as well as another website where they are being sued. These people are giving someone close to me a raw deal and lawyers will be reviewing this persons' circumstances for another potential lawsuit against them. They have violated several Fair Debt Collection laws and I am interested in seeing how many other people have had the misfortune of dealing with them.

Is there a statue of limitations on a US Department of Education loan?

Is it legal for them to do this sell my debt to more than one company? I have sent them a certified debt validation letter. I live in MN. BTW this was a internet loan so I faxed them a copy of a voided check I never wrote a check and I made 1 payment to them. ------- You should be aware that writing fraudulent checks can come with both civil and criminal penalties, such as possible jail time and fees. We helped you with credit and you have neglected to settle the debt in a timely manner!! Your outstanding balance with us is $275 !

Does anyone know of a debt settlement company that only charges you based on the amount of money they save you? Rather a 15% flat fee on your total debt, I'm looking for one that charges a commission on the total amt that you save. Are there any reputable companies that do this?
