I have a question about doing the paperwork yourself or getting one of the many online companies to do it for you v/s paying the high price of an attorney. Has anyone here filed the paperwork themselves or had one of the online preparers do it for you? I was wondering if anyone has ever used one of these places before and if so, how was your experience? OK, yes we ran into some problems again...tires for car, ($500), Air conditioner unit ($800), had to get another vehicle due to hubby's truck going totally kaput (was going to cost more to fix it then to get another vehicle and need 2 vehicles for us to get to our jobs), so now 2 car payments, insurance went up, so....behind again. I had 2 accounts with loan shop online. Thanks to your advice, I faxed a letter stating overpayment and demanding a refund. Today (2 days later) I received an email stating that after I sign the release and fax my 2 accounts will both be considered PIF and closed.
