I have the (2) voicemail messages left by ACA Recovery threatening me and acting as a law office. Also the letter they sent me dated 4/14/08 stating I owe PaycheckToday $805 on a $500 loan. My question is: Is that all i need to bring to the lawyer or should I bring all my bank statements (showing how much I paid on the loan), copy of the loan paperwork from PayCheck Today, etc. Or is this irrelevant to the CA?

I got a phone call from nationwide cash and he is threatening to prosecute me for ach fraud becasue I defaulted. I am in Texas and the loan is for 400 I paid 120 and now he says I owe 670 which he wants not! i am freaking out he said he will call my HR and tell them i am committing fraud and start doing background checks on me!

Okay this is a bit involved but I'll try anyway ... I I own 2 homes, one in Nevada and one in Missouri. I am trying to refinance at least one of the homes as they have high interest rates, (I'd love to refi both of them), and am having a really tough time finding someone to help me. We have a lot of equity in one house, and some equity in the other.

Pull credit report and there is a judgment under public records for asset acceptance llc. Called courthouse they said default judgment was issued 4 years ago in 2004. Told them I never even knew I was being sued.

Hi, I payed off my 13 loans with a loan from a family member. I than reported all the companies to the BBB, got 1 refund from loan shop for total amount overpaid. The few others that responded said they never gave a loan to someone in New Jersey, my response my phone # is NJ, my bank is NJ and home address is in NJ. Never a response back from them and BBB closed it. Than I filed my complaints with the AG over a month ago and sent in all of my documents. and have had no response. I did get 1 email back telling me that it was not in their jurisdiction.

Someone is trying to sue me for negligence for $52,000. It is work related. They were a customer. Am I considered "judgment proof"? I am a single mother who makes $30,000/yr. I do not own a home or have ANY assets.

I called the attorney who is representing the Plaintiff in this case. She said she can take monthly payments, but that wont stop a judgment from being entered on my credit report because it's not the amount that the Plaintiff is looking for. They said that a judgement will be entered but not enforced. How can I make sure this they don't enforce it? I asked her for a statement, she said she will give me one after we set something up. Any advice?
