i wanted to know how long it takes until checksmart takes you to court for defaulting on your payday loan, as soon as it goes to collections?, a few weeks later, a few months?, and once it goes to collections to they try to set up payment arrangements with you? my email is email address removed for your protection.

:shock: ,hi,i would need some advice,i just got sue bay a loan company that i owe $7,000 and due to divorce last year i fell behind,well,when i got a little back on my feet,i hired this company call consumer law center(i know,i know)i've read some post,ughh! but anyway,i just got sue,and i contact clc and told that i want out of the program right away,i just file complaints against them with bbb an ftc after 9 months of bieng ripp off i believe.what would be the outcome in court when i have the ability to make monthly payments to them just like i've been doing for the past nine months?

I recently moved to GA about 8 months ago. I applied for an apartment on 5/1 and got approved with conditions because of midland credit management. The Rental application company said that it was transferred in 12/2007 from Newport News. So I am assuming that they think it was a recent chargeoff because I have other chargeoffs that weren't a problem, I have Newport News on my CBR already and that was charged off in 2002 and was scheduled to fall off 12/2009.

I received an email from Superior and she said that she spoke to Apothaker and Associates and they gave her an offer of $9700.00 with payment over 3 months. There is no way we can do that so I guess we are screwed. I don't know what to do. I am going to send the DV letter but I doubt it will do anything. Superior said they don't know what will happen if we send them a DV letter but she hopes it will prolong a lawsuit. Either way it is not a good situation and I am just really upset.

Hello, I was able to find though the courts webpage a case summary for a Civil-Limited-Collections case against me. Viewing the "Register of Actions" the latest Docket entry shows "DRAP" along with the date of 05/02/08. There is nothing that indicates the filing party for this entry. Do any of you know what that "DRAP" is all about? What does it mean? Thanks, brian

Hi everyone, I am new here, honestly I have come across this forum many times in the past and never joined. I thought that someone would be calling me to discuss all of my debt. But today, I saw the link to just join the forum without that! Guess I never saw it before. I have foolishly taken on so many pdls. I realize now that florida max loan amount is $500. Well, I have borrowed $1300 and that does not include the fees. I'm also trying to figure out what exactly is a rollover. It says loans cannot rollover in my state. Is this the same as an extension, or refinance?

Has anyone ever heard of Hass Law Group and/ or Hass Group? If so, negative or positive reactions??
