I need some serious help! I can't afford this!

ok.. I never disputed with them- because I just mailed the letter friday afternoon, but I received a validation letter from Asset Acceptance. Except... all it states is the Original Creditor, the acct number, the balance and my name with the address they have on file for me (which is inaccurate). Is this some sort of joke? How in any way are they validating my bill if it states NOTHING. What steps should I take now? This is clearly inadequate.

Will you like to share 1) How creditors harass you? 2) How you deal with them on phone? 3) How you negotiate a deal with creditors or CA? This will help us improve our self help section. There is a method out there called the 1-2 punch. Basically how it works is that you send a DV letter to the CA. When you receive the green card back you then dispute with the CRAs.

Guess I can start this off with a funny little story about my kids. Namely one….who is way to smart (alec)for her 8 years. She watches everything very carefully…you know her brain is working..well, one day I made an agreement with her, I gave her extra cash on the agreement she do extra chores.
