PDL Help--I Need to Stop the Withdrawals

18 years 1 month ago
Hi, my name is Brook, and I am having a major PDL problem. I live in Arizona and have taken out four PDL's--one from a storefront, three from online sources. I need to stop these companies from taking money out of my account--because of payments and overdraft fees, my bank account is way in the negative and the ACH's for these loans are getting returned. I'm about to lose my apartment because I don't have enough money for rent, and am having some other financial issues. I am now receiving collection calls from all of these companies.

I did a lot of research on this company who is suing me. His name is Daniel W. Goldstone. He was disbarred in 2006 by the Supreme Judicial Court and can't practice law for the next 8 years. He is not licensed to collect in the state of Massachusetts. He was sued by sears for $945,409 and dodged them for 5 years and eventually paid them only $89,000 according to the Supreme Judicial Court ruling. I found it funny that he has an employee who's name is Maureen.

Certegy huh?

18 years 1 month ago
I've never heard of Certegy, until tonight. I went to K-mart, bought some things, went to write and check to pay for it, and it was declined. Huh? I mean WTH?! I've never had a bounced check, I have over draft protection anyways. I called the toll free number, of course it's automated, they won't give you a reason, the recording just said "Precautionary Measures", sooooo, what the heck is that all about? I cashed a check elsewhere a few minutes later, just fine. Would this have anything to do with having debts in collection? I really can't figure out why they would decline my check. :?

How much can they charge you in fees & interest on origi

18 years 1 month ago
I am trying to repair my credit and the thing that is killing my credit is some old debt- very overdue payments on some very low balance credit cards- like $250, $300 max balance- and the letters I am getting are saying I owe something like- $500 and up on some of these cards because of 'late fees' and interest? I want to know- if I pay off this debt- or make payment arrangements, how much do I legally have to pay to get this taken care off & clean up my credit? It seems like I am doomed to pay 200% of what I originally owed. help! :(

To consolidate my credit cards?? Fixing my credit

18 years 1 month ago
Hi everyone. I hope this was the right place to post this but here i go I use to have excellent credit until about the past year and a half. Stupid me with 5 credit cards pretty much maxed out bringing my debt to 26k. I do make payments on all 5, but recently missed 2 of them that are about 60-90 days late which screw my credit score up even more. I have been picking and choosing who to pay and that's not good. If you add up my credit card payments, they would be around $800 a month.

payments

I am paying 4 different collection agencies, $50 per month. My first check in December stated to each that they would receive a min of $50 each month until the debt was paid. Since then, I have had no letters from them, nor have I talked to them, they call, but always when I am at work and they never call my work. Would they have already notified me if they were going to sue? How do I know if this is the wisest course of action.

Dealing with MCM

18 years 1 month ago
Hi there, I have a question. In 2003 while living in Texas (currently in Nevada) I had a credit card through a company called Aspire with a $300 limit. I paid this account at the end of 2003 and left it at that. In November I received a letter from MCM saying I owed somewhere in the area of 900 dollars on the account. I decided to send them the following letter in early December: Dear Sir/Madam, This letter is being sent to you in response to a notice sent to me on November 27, 2007 in regards to Account #*****.
